Based on our form, we had no business being anywhere near getting something from today. Frank gave our squad belief, and they deserved a point

Gotta work on getting them to play that way away from home, but we should have plenty to push on from here if that’s the effort we see thru May
I think if we keep Doucoure fit, we’ve a solid foundation to play well away from home. I would keep DCL on the bench and use him last 20 when defences are tired. Rotate Grey Gordon, Iwobi and el ghazi. There’s enough there to pick points up.

First class from Fronk pre, during and post match - his comments and delivery were brilliant.

Very unlucky (could describe it as robbed!) not to get something out of the game and we made city look bang average, and having to hold on and time waste after their flukey goal.

Very impressed with Ashley Cole getting right into the officials at the end - the new staff are exactly what we needed at the club - proven winners.

Neah we would be in the same place if not higher.
Remember Ferguson lost his game in charge too, so since Rafael left its won 1 in 4 league games.
Do you know what mate I generally give people the benefit of the doubt as everybody is entitled to their opinion. I have to say I’m totally baffled by yours.
I wanted to give Rafael a chance but in the end his decision making was atrocious.
He cut his nose of to spite his face because he fell out with players. It’s the TEAM that is most important not him. He was a terrible manager period.
I think you are just on a windup.
You cannot defend the indefensible.

Under Benitez today tactics would have been everyone behind the ball and don't cross the halfway line ending in a deflating 4 or 5 nil defeat and confidence shot to bits, the stadium would have emptied with 20 mins to go. under Frank we had a go, players had belief, the crowd responded, we were unlucky and the fans showed their support at the end of the game.

The home games under Lampard make me feel hopeful. If we can play like that away we'll pick up enough to be safe

Get into next season with Lampard in charge and I believe we'll be fighting from the start to the end of a season which we've not seen in years unfortunately. That's a foundation that needs laying down before anything else.

Going to be a long end of season and summer...

Barring injuries he'll get to utilise a three man midfield for the remainder of the season (Allan, DVB & Doucoure). I think this is the key to our chances of avoiding relegation.

If we can nab a point off Spurs I'll be feeling good going into a stretch of games we have to get points from.
Play like that at spurs mate and it'll be 3 points not just 1. I've a feeling Cole will get them proper fired up and seek this as a revenge match against the officials. I'm all for that but Allan needs to hold it back sometimes or he'll have a red soon enough

Loved the way he had us set up. Loved the discipline. Did not love the delay in bringing in subs. Everyone here was saying “wow we’re playing great but can we keep it up for 90?” Our biggest threat was fatigue. Second and third subs were too late.
100% this! His only error yesterday in my opinion. Gordon was destroyed with 30 minutes to go, Coleman was too. But he is still learning and I belive he will improve in his subs timing too. All positive at the moment for me regards Lampard.

Gotta laugh at most of our fans.....either love or hate and no inbetween. He's only been here a month f f s

Laugh as much as you want mate, his early impression has been great.

He’s shown more passion towards us than any manager has in 15 years, he’s making Goodison enjoyable again for god knows how long.

Is getting a tune out of players like Iwobi, Kenny and the likes.

Hope it isn’t a false dawn, but a manager who knows the importance of the fans, sign me up every day of the week.

He’s been a breath of fresh air compared to the recent shower of managers we’ve had. Bit of enthusiasm on the touch line. Calls out bad decisions in an articulate way, calm and measured. Organised the team exceptionally well yesterday with good defence but still a real danger when we had the ball. His big challenge is getting these charlatans to perform like that every week, home and away. I’ll be so cross if they go there Spurs next week and perform like they did at Southampton.
