5 league games since Rafael left, lost 4 of them.
4 league games under Frank, lost 3 of them, Spurs next.
Now 17th in the league. But because Frank speaks English and says the right things, you lot are ignoring his horrendous start and we're apparently heading in the right direction. You couldn't make this up.
No it doesn't but you've got to appreciate cause and effect. Mina, Doucoure, Richy and DCL all fit and firing all season and those "other problems" wouldn't exist or certainly to nowhere the same extent. I'm no huge fan of RB but let's not be disingenuous about what his point was.People were saying the same about Richy, and Mina. Like, sure, I'd rather have them than not but their abscence doesn't explain or excuse every other problem with the team - of which there are many.
He took over a side that could have feasibly finished in the top 10. We weren't in a relegation battle, we were just as many points off mid table as we were off the bottom 3.
If we finish 17th, it's not job done. He hasn't completed his objective and will more than likely be sacked.
No he performed better. Look at the full picture.
Rafael took over the club in free fall, which had been destroyed by McClaren and were all but relegated. Bruce took over a club which had consecutively finished mid-table in the Premier league for 2 seasons and had a top 8 level defence and had started to be rebuilt by Rafael. Bruce then spent mode money than Rafael, to finish in a worse position. Rafael left Newcastle in top 8 level form. Bruce has left Newcastle in 19th without a win all season.

Genuinely no point in engaging with him mate. I can’t quite deduce if he supports any football club but he seems to have an unhealthy fixation with Mr Rafael Benitez…which out of the many sins a person could have…is surely top of the tree.Mate we had what? One win in 13? 6 points from 46 or something like that? We were heading for the championship, make no mistake about it and we still might if these players don’t pull their fingers out
