I'd disagree with him there when he said that when he arrived we all thought we'd be relegated.

I think he's wrong to have said that.

It's self preservation. Stay up and I've performed a miracle. Go down and we were down anyway so it's not my fault.

I don't want us relegated either but clearly the players fancy it.
I hate this sodding club and I can't be arsed posing or reading anything else on here till June...With this and the Russian war...its all just too depressing on all media fronts. Good luck to all on here. Wish you all the best for continuing to support this gang of wasters.....Patience of Saints you lot.

This is half of his problem....currently he has to depend on them given the injuries to Mina and Godfrey. He has made it clear that Patterson isn't ready and I am not sure Mykolenko is either. Even Branthwaite had the crap virus tonight but I have hope in Branthwaite
I'd take branno, patterson and the other kids in defence all day ahead of ever seeing Keane, Coleman and holgate in the royal blue jersey again. I'm done with them. I'd have Dobbin in ahead of DCL (maybe even rondon FFS!)

Too many of the senior pros have been stinking the gaff out for ages - time to volley them out the squad before it's too late.

So Patterson has played on the left before and Mykolenko has played international football at centre back, so for me the solution (until Mina and Godfrey are back) is Kenny at RWB, Patterson at LWB, Mykolenko, Branthwaite and Holgate at CB. Allan Doucoure at CM with Gordon at ACM, then Dobbin up front with Richarlison. 3-5-2.

Whatever formation though, it is clear that Coleman, Keane and Calvert-lewin shouldn't be anywhere near the team and Gordon needs to be on the ball more as chief creator....

There is some parts were i feel he's laying a safety net to protect himself with certain things he says, but no matter what there ARE 3 worse squads of players in this league and we should not have been expecting to go down, he's lost 3 out of 4 league games now, and I just hope he can get a grip of these dossers and learn a valuable lesson from todays drubbing

If we do go down, I am not sure he has the stomach for a big rebuild on a budget in the Championship. I think he would resign and wait for another opportunity at a different club.

It’s been their MO for five years. This shouldn’t surprise anyone. They don’t want their Everton careers to end. They’ll try and see any manager off who threatens that.
The difference is that if they see off this manager, then they are championship players, and will go down as the most abysmal group of players in the history of the club

There is no appetite to change manager, no matter what posters on here claim. There is no rebellion or uprising. Criticism does not mean support for a sacking. And everyone knows that.
