2021/22 Frank Lampard

At this point its looking like he needs to win 4 or 5 games out of 13.

Its really imperative we take 4pts+ from Wolves and Newcastle.

Strangely enough, under Royle of course we also looked shambolic before he came in and went on to win the FA Cup which drove the players to compete for places.

If we could get through the next 2 league games with 4+ pts and beat Palace then we may have the catalyst.

I was gonna criticise it before releasing he’s doing what I do on this website and that one too, so can’t be that hypocritical really.

Well some of it I agree with . Undoubtedly Lampard will be a better manager in 10 years time with more experience. What was our alternative, Allardyce?, Hodgson ?Dyce? short term solutions to what everybody knows has been a long term problem . Frank’s the man in charge , we’ve just got to get behind him , hope the players do the same, and also hope that he can learn fast and set them up for a relegation dog fight.

The games we have won under Frank have been more exciting to watch and more enjoyable than any under Rafael.
If Rafael was here Spurs would have beat us and probably City by more, I doubt we’d have got past Brentford in the cup.
I think we would have been in a worse position and playing worse football, at least now I can actually see a style we are trying to play.
We will get the wins we need to stay up and I am looking forward to pre season a lot more than last.

Same set up every week to the one we adopted against City.

It's not hard to see that is how we'll get out of this - if we are to.

It wont be by expecting those belters to "feel comfortable on the ball and confidently express themselves".

If that's what Lampard is hoping to do in the coming games we're in the Championship already.

One league game?? "more exciting to watch and more enjoyable"... fans were booing and groaning about Boreham? "If Rafael was here Spurs would have beat us and probably City by more" so you mean we would also have taken zero points?
Come thats silly, we are as bad now as then, the players are just rubbish

Hopefully with more players coming back will help him. Pathetic from both holgate and keane atm. Hopefully he nakes changes for sunday

At least a short-term solution is a solution!

Talk about damning with faint praise! lol lol :pint2:

Is Lampard the perfect manager? No
Is he going to keep us up? Probably not
Is he the best option to shift the deadwood next summer? Unsure
Is he a good fit to rebuild a squad capable of regaining top-flight status within 3 years? Yes
Sorry. If he can't keep us up he should not have been appointed. That was the bare minimum requirement of the job. People may not like to hear it, but we'd have been as well off leaving Benitez in place if we were going to replace him with a man who would subsequently take us down.
