Yep agree. But what did they expect if things started going wrong for Frank Lampard! With his lack of experience, he's a ready-made scapegoat for the team and unlike Ole.S doesn't have the club legend thing to keep him afloat for a bit. These kinds of managers are going to be insecure because they know in their hearts they don't really have any experience or success behind them. Things start going wrong and the doubts for everyone start setting in much quicker, including the manager himself. We really could end up getting relegated. I'd say normally it would never happen, and obviously, I could be wrong, but this seems like the worst kind of appointment at the very worst time.

Doucoure was on a hiding to nothing today. 2 man midfield meant he had to cover a lot of the pitch on his own. As a result he was chasing shadows all game. No lack of effort but way behind the game. Think it was the selection rather than him. Anyone can see we need 3 in the middle to compete.

I do think there is a difference between Home and Away.

Goodison thrives on hard work and aggression.

They should be playing blood and thunder football at home with 3 in midfield and more conservative away.

Both bossed it. And it's not about them being athletic or dynamic either as both can't run and ones nearly 40 years old.

He has a habit of trying to match the opposition formation, did it against Newcastle too.

There's a reason Wolves play a 5 back. It's because they're good at it.
