Looking at the remaining fixtures. I think we will be lucky to get 6 and even then I'm not confident.

Means nothing if you are like a sheep and dont know what to do on a football field. Tactics is underrated in England cue we buy all the best players (Manchester United) and hope that they will perform. Then comes Simeone with largely a bunch of no names... The central defender is from Montenegro. I have seen him play against Luxembourg. Keane is at least on the same level. But in a well trained team he looks world class.Simeone has defenders who can defend and players capable of counter attacking, plus an absolutely cracking goalkeeper.
This. Frank knew the situation he was taking on. Maybe he now has more of an understanding, but he will be supported until has his team playing the football to his design. The results arn't coming yet, and ignoring the away form, the team has shown more commitment and desire to at least try to get results. The 'sit back and wait to go behind' football we had in the first half of the season obviously couldn't continue. Hopefully we can pick up a result tomorrow, and push on to making ourselves harder to beat (even with this squad).Has my full support going forward until he's got his own team together and rid of some of these god awful players. He can't be blamed for what is going on, Benítez killed us off, confidence absolutely shattered through the squad and defenders who can't defend, that's the problem, the defenders aren't fit for purpose in this league, shocking recruitment.
Benitez 19 points, Lampard 3 points at mid point of season. We will see if he will crack the 20 points mark. Never ever...It's hard to take you serious there after Benitez.
Also lacking an on pitch leader to take control at times and instruct would help. From the presser ‘there are things we’re working on in training which are not coming out on the pitch’
Every Everton manager for the last five years have said similar things. The players just cannot execute tactical instructions.

Yeah and they all work their socks off. A good example for Everton to follow if they could.
Just out of curiosity, what makes you think that considering we had won ONE game since September in the league.
Every game we allowed the opposition to swarm us, have the ball and as we tried to absorb the pressure. For 6 months that did not work and not once did he try to rectify it.
At least Frank has tried different formations, different partnerships to try and get something out of them.
The rot had well and truly set in, trying to change a dressing room void of confidence, who were only 85% fit (Fat Kopites training methods), was one of the hardest tasks to take on. You cannot change that overnight
He was probably more naive than anything else

Oh I agree, he needs to just 'keep it simple' which is essentially what Carlo did, then when he is able to get his own players he can try and implement his own thing. This lot are just not capable of anything other than the basics.Yeah, can you imagine though how frustrating it must be to work on set piece defence, attacking drills, formation and shape all week, see the players flying during training, and then it gets to match day and watch absolutely none of that work going out in the game.
To be fair it's something that pretty much every manager of every club says, because it's the obvious answer to the question. No manager says 'yeah this is exactly what i'm asking them to do, we're just losing because my tactics are crap'.From the presser ‘there are things we’re working on in training which are not coming out on the pitch’
