He'll be desperate to get us into the semi finals on Sunday, it gives us momentum, would give us confidence winning away from home, would have the players desperate to be part of a Wembley appearance ( its a big deal to the overseas lads ).

Very good side Palace, but if we dig in, dig deep you just never know and there'll he 4000 Evertonians roaring them on as well.

The FA Cup means a lot to evertonians, Lampard clearly recognises that.

Just hoping we put in a performance at Selhurst tbh. I can accept this season that we are broken and Palace look good under Viera, so if we were narrowly beaten but had a go I could let it go. Just do not wanna see us just put in away performances like we have against Southampton and Spurs recently.

I agree chances are we wont win it.... but Chelsea have to go away to Boro who've knocked out Utd and Spurs. Saints are a bogey team for City and are at home and Notts Forest have knocked arsenal out and wont be a walk over either.

If say one or even two of them went out its all to play for in the semi's.

Forest will give Liverpool a game I reckon. The City ground is a boss stadium and they'll be well up for it under the lights.

He gets stick over his formation/team selections at times but as I said with Benitez its difficult when you have a mish mash squad of players signed by numerous managers with varying styles.

Really hope he can pull some magic off on Sunday as thats make or break for our season. A semi final at wembley is just what the fans and players need.
Yeah I agree Benitez made it more difficult for Frank than what he had tho. He got rid of our starting and only LB in the squad and signed two players that aren’t ready for this level as a replacement. Crazy decision to make half way through a season. When we are n trouble.

The League and staying in it is most important but getting the win yesterday. kind of takes the pressure of a little for the cup game. Hopefully the players go out there with confidence and express themselves. Like you said a trip to Wembley will be amazing for the fans and players. A shining light in this horrible season.

100% mate, just some fight and desire, get some shots away and compete. That'll do regardless of the result.

Can't stomach the likes of the Spurs away

Then what is the point of being on here everyday or worrying about relegation if we have zero hope of winning anything in the first place?

Thats the whole point of football !

Honestly don't get our fans at times.
Because we all know how it play out with this group, I’m desperate for us to win something, but I’m not even that bothered about the cup this season. Not going to let it stress me out We know what the fa will want.

Already bringing VAR into the championship grounds involving Liverpool and Chelsea. They will probably want a cup and league showdown involving city and Liverpool.

Its corrupt mate but who knows football isn't won on paper.

Im just sick of seeing that lot win things and us having nothing to shout about.

Be absolutely buzzing me if we win Sunday - be taking my little lad down to wembley for his 1st trip there will mean more to me than any result we've had in the last few recent rubbish seasons.

I saw 4231 most of the time, with clever switching between Iwobi, Gordon and Gray. Allan and Doucoure both protecting Keane and Holgate. The pace of Gray/Gordon and Iwobi managed to get back and protect the full backs. Ben Godfrey pushing the ball up. Doucoure made some runs. It was a mix of what worked under Rafael and Carlo.

This would have worked much better against Wolves, than the 343, 523 system. Allan, Iwobi, Keane were all on the bench in that game.

Great that mate. I took my lad who was 6 at the time to the Man Utd semi at Wembley when Lukaku missed the pen and they scored in the 93rd minute. As we left the ground he looked at me and said 'it wasn't worth it was it Dad' Some bloke behind just laughed, rubbed his head and said 'welcome to Everton lad'.

It's so important for the younger supporters to see Everton winning trophies.

The thing about Everton managerial appointments is they are nearly always dour individuals. I would only count Kendall and Martinez as "having a personality". To a lesser extent Silva, Royle, Harvey, Carlo but.. dear me. Britton, Buchan, Carey, Catterick, Bingham, Lee, Walker, Smith, Moyes, Koeman Allardyce, Benitez - you wouldn't want to spent too long in their company unless they were talking Everton...

Frank Lampard isn't dour - he wears his heart on his sleeve mostly.

So it can hardly be a major surprise that managers fail to inspire or are too disciplinarian (Catterick, Walker, Koeman especially)

Can't get my head around Joe Royle there. If you've ever spent any time with big Joe then no chance he's behind martinez lol.

Obviously it's crucial we stay up . But I look forward to his summer recruitment. Not having fortunes to spend might be a blessing too. Get young hungry players in , and also raid the Chelsea academy.
You can't - unless they're out of contract Chelsea can't buy/sell players as part of the sanctions
