Yeah course mate. A team who were 2nd in the table at Xmas last season and its a miracle to keep them up and get them mid table. Wow
We have been dropping like a stone, we are 17th in a league of 20. Where we were at Christmas last year is of no consequence it is where we are now that matters. Watford put five past us, Spurs stopped at five, we have a team of misfits. We have no right to be in the Premier League, it has to be earned and currently we are not earning that right.

But apart from that we're doing great.

Frank Lampard thrives on support from the crowd. For years we’ve all been saying on here that we fans can have a positive impact on performances and results. And Neville Southall has also been saying that. Finally we have started getting behind our players and our manager… And lo and behold, we’ve started winning at home. The Goodison faithful was the difference against Leeds, the difference against Brentford and the difference against Newcastle. One of the Leeds players and two of the Newcastle players said we Everton fans were like a 12th man. As an aside we were also desperately unlucky not to get something at home against the champions, too.

The England goalie Ben Foster said a couple of months ago we Everton fans have for years been regarded as an asset to the opposition. Well that has all changed now. I’m so proud of the way we got behind the players against Newcastle on Thursday night.

Sadly away from home we are terrible, so I can’t see us progressing to the semi-finals. After so many poor results during Benitez’s tenure our players are understandably fragile mentally. They need an adoring home crowd to lift them. Palace are one of the in-form teams in the country, too

ctrl c, ctrl v

Mate he’s trying to build a bridge and all he has as materials is straw… with so many players not good enough it’s hard to set up a team. Add in injuries and suspensions and it’s near on impossible.

We can’t sit back and defend , Rafael tried it and is meant to be a master at it and we won 1 in 13…. We can’t control midfeild as our players can’t pass and we can’t hold a high line as are defenders can’t concentrate and run like they’re under water .

Add in that Richy can’t hold the ball up and we have no focal point up front , and it’s hard to see how we can control any sort of game.

The only thing he can control with any consistency is the effort and bringing the fans and the team together and I think he’s done that very well so far.

It’s not his fault the side he got given, but he needs to onow how to maximise it.

I’m still firmly in the pro-Lampard side, but it doesn’t mean he got things wrong tactically.

From the tactics I have seen, I have no doubt that it will be a lot better when he brings in his own players, but he needs to pack out the centre of the field, to maximise the input and effectively of the midfield.

Listen, I’m not slagging him off, I just think he’s been a bit naive so far, and that does concern me in a relegation scrap, but I’m glad we’ve got him.
