They still had decent professional football careers. It's not as if they brought the oranges to games like Mourinho. I missed out Cruyff as well.

In terms of the current top 8 managers in world football at least half of them were excellent professional footballers. Pep, Conte, Mancini and Simeone. So to claim excellent professional footballers are unable to become quality managers is utter nonsense.
To be fair, nobody would claim that. It's a straw man argument. The question is whether the fact they were a good player matters at all when judging sometimes managerial credentials. Shearer, Henry, Keane (Roy, not Michael), Gascoine and even Maradona were better players than Clough or Ferguson but they were awful as managers. Favre Galtier and Garcia were nowhere near Frank's quality as players, but they're all better managers than him.

I think he has done some good things and made some mistakes. That is to be expected from a younger manager inheriting a hot mess of a team. This squad had achieved the worst run of results in our PL history and that isn't fixed overnight.

I would like to see him stick to a consistent system of 433 and a consistent line up, especially a settled back 4.

But I am happy to give him as much time as he needs, because we are going nowhere until the squad is overhauled and a clear identity is implemented onto the entire club. This squad make me so frustrated and angry with their total lack of application and fight. While the vast majority of them remain, the idea of a managerial change is ludicrous.

Im pretty certain he would love to play a settled 4-3-3, sadly we dont have 3 midfielders fit or not suspended.

I can't believe people still defend these players and blame the manager, it's pretty obvious their minds are weaker than the physicality of Gbamin and Delph combined, club needs to get a psychologist in to sort them out, preferably some shock therapy so they can at least feel the pain the fans have had watching them for multiple seasons

Not for cup games no...

But for league games we should have options, although not the best options.

Settled back 4 is the main thing. We have no great defenders so we need to make it as simple as possible for them. It doesn't matter how we get to 17th place, but we have to find a way.

Sean Dyche is a bad manager, mate. He’s done well at Burnley but he’s not, and never will be, a manager to take on a bigger club.

I watched them last week against Brentford, I’ve seen Sunday league footy player a better standard
That’s a fair comment mate but he’s had a team in Europe and a mainstay in the premier league with no budget and a team of journey men so he deserves a pass In my book. That doesn’t mean I want him. To manage everton
