At some point we have to keep faith with a manager. Whether we survive or not i would keep him in position. My only worry with him is he seems to only be using how a player performs in training as his guide to whether a player gets a game. I know it should be the best way to pick your side but there are players in our side who must train brilliantly but are consistently absolutely crap in an actual match. I'd like to see how a player is performing on the pitch being used as a guide a bit more as to whether he gets picked for the next game.

Let’s see if he starts Iwobi tomorrow night. Praised him post-game so interesting to see if he’s dropped.

The thing is I'm one of iwobis biggest critics and wouldn't have him near the team given his past performances for us but (and I can't believe I'm going to say this) he had a decent game for us on Sunday apart from his inability to control a simple rolled five yard pass. If, and i know it's a big if, he hadn't mis-controlled that pass he would have in my eyes earned a place in tomorrow's team. He does seem like a bloke who needs someone telling him he's great and doesn't respond to ballockings.

For someone in a (supposed) senior management position @Johnny Barton hss a very short term view on management.

Thats all ive learned in the past half dozen pages of nonsense.

You'd think the penny would drop when the managers only get maximum 6-12months effort from the players before they down tools.

The media pundits have now cottoned onto it...other managers are commenting on it and our own manager has brought it up.

There comes a point when you back the manager and put all blame on the players.

That time is now.

Just goes to show how little 'fans' actually watch football outside of their own team these days when you see some of the hot takes flying around social media about Lampard, like somehow our current plight is mainly down to him and he's some sort of Gary Neville-type character who can talk a good game but isn't actually a manager..

The more I think about it, it's only really been in the past 6-ish months that pundits have actually started calling the players out en masse when it's been a problem for years now. I'm convinced that no one actually pays proper attention to us as a club..

I'd say where Iwobi played was a position Dele could play.
Depends if we're wanting the same thing from him tbf.

Dele's not going to get on the ball and play passes/make runs with the ball like Iwobi tried to do.

He is going to offer some threat and penetration in behind, though we've then got to have someone of getting the ball forward and without VdB or Allan that's sorely lacking if there's no Iwobi in there too.

I mean, I wouldn't drop Iwobi, just saying players could replace.
