TBH, the way I feel right now (and having said that if we fired another manager now we'd defo write our own death warrant), if the board sacked him I wouldn't be arsed. I am now in the @GrandOldTeam camp of a last throw of the dice. I'm absolutely desolate. A collapse like that from a winning position and against a terrible team has floored me. I think I know it wont make any difference, but we cant just tamely walk into the Championship.

It's not about Martinez, Moyes, Ancelotti, Benitez, Lampard - it's about Everton FC.

I have to agree, Do it tonight- get the bounce back, he has a hard on for JJK, will even play him left back ffs can’t see how open we look, loves an open midfield for people to stroll through, let’s DCL play a full game when he’s playing the game statues, refuses to make us hard to play against away from home.. desperation time just get rid now

Aye, if it was going to happen it'd be best left until the morning. It'd be crackers to do so like but as you say after 22:00 on a school night wouldn't be realistic.

Get a manager that in that kens his onions. That is half the battle. Lampard is lost. Send him back down to London.

We are far too open. But Allan is out (his legs have gone anyway) Doucoure’s form has fallen off a cliff and Delph is never fit. As bad as we’ve been defensively our inability to protect our back four from midfield is a massive issue. Furthermore Patterson has to start on Saturday, if Coleman isn’t fit as Kenny is a liability and has been for some time.

I dont think Frank will ever play in a purely defensive way. Not in him.

Am the same. We need a long term coach in there. But I don’t want to stick by Lampard just for the sake of continuity.

It’s too late to sack him now anyway but I’m really not convinced he was the right appointment. Looks out of his depth a little here.

He’s in a situation that is almost a no win situation. We’re down, there’s no point in trying to change anything because no matter what, we are playing championship football next year

So, I’d rather allow him and his coaching staff to see what they can do in the summer, overhaul the squad and plan a return

This cast of characters would still leak goals though.

At some point, we have to stop blaming the manager. The manager doesn't make all these individual errors all over the pitch, which makes any tactics moot

Lampard has us playing a system that makes errors far more likely, though.

That is the problem with top players who are parachuted into big jobs. They don't understand that risk aversion is key to getting out of trouble.

Benitez was a defensive manager, so was Allardyce, so was Ancelotti. Apart from a small period under Ancelotti and a few games under Allardyce and Benitez we’ve been terrible defensively. Unless we’re going to go out and get Simeone, I don’t know who would sort these defenders out.

They’re just very very poor. Keane Coleman Kenny Holgate are championship standard players. All our defensive midfielders are injured or suspended. These are the results.

Said to a mate. Even parking a bus with Coleman, Kenny, Keane, Holgate, Godfrey playing...one of them will make a mistake to a goal. Guaranteed.

Thought he could have used more subs earlier tonight to give us a bit more application in the final 3rd pushing for a lead at 2-2 when we were controlling the game . DCL was clearly neither sharp nor interested.

But the reason we lost tonight was not Lampard, it was yet another individual mistake, this time from Godfrey.

We're gone if we dont act; we're probably gone if we do act. It's that bad a decision to have to make.

No point in changing the manager Dave, it'll just cost us more money we haven't got. The problem here is from above the manager. The club is an absolute circus and the blame lies at the door of Moshiri.

We need a manager for 3 days time. If we beat United, fair enough. But if we dont the board have to be parachuting someone else in.

I repeat: we cant tamely follow a busted flush into the Championship.
