2021/22 Frank Lampard

If he doesn't keep us up, I'd give it about a month into the Championship before everyone giving him the benefit of the doubt now starts to turn on him.

His Everton career all comes down to the next 2 months. Unfortunately I've seen nothing that tells me we're getting out of this.

Benetiz is a defensive manager and the team conceded was it 5 or 6 at home vs Watford?

How is Lampard to blame for brainless individual defensive mistakes?

I think we've thrown 4 points away in the last 4 days: levelling against WHU then leading Burnley 2-1; we shouldm have seen everyone behind the ball. We're way too open.

With a heavy heart and a lot of embarrassment I think we have to hand him Saturday but then appoint another manager if it isn't a 3 point return.
A few games now where there are prolonged spells where it looks like a knockout game in the dying minutes of extra-time. All structure just falls away and the game seemingly breaks down into alternating 5-a-side matches around either box. And when that happens against a side with actual structure we regularly concede 3 goals or more.

Lampard looks to have given up. The Crystal Palace game summed his attitude up when he claimed it can't be his tactics because we were on top for the opening 15 minutes. Matches are 90 minutes long and semi capable managers change things when they aren't working - and the opposing manager has to react to those changes if they have an effect. Lampard shrugs his shoulders.

We need a manager for 3 days time. If we beat United, fair enough. But if we dont the board have to be parachuting someone else in.

I repeat: we cant tamely follow a busted flush into the Championship.
I think you're being very generous. We should be on the blower to the new manager right now. I think we're doomed regardless, but there is absolutely nothing to lose now. Zippy, George, and Bungle dream team. Well, maybe not Bungle.

I dont think Frank will ever play in a purely defensive way. Not in him.
Then he will take us down. I honestly don’t know what he could do with this group of players he inherited. We don’t have the necessary quality to offensively go at teams and we don’t have the nous or calibre of players to play safety first. However the very least we should have got out of these last two games is 2 draws, to get two losses comes down to tactics.

Unfortunately that will kill us. I think the only hope we have, as he isn’t going anywhere, is if he is strong enough to recognise he needs help ie he is on the phone to some ex managers to get advice etc.

Lampard gets sacked, Allardyce in..your off your heads of you think this side can grind out results when the pressure is on. You'd be kicking off when we are getting beat 1-0 because the players just sat there camped in their own half.

Lampard stays

Players can [Poor language removed].

Relegated yeah, will it hurt?? Of course it will ffs my head is absolutely battered here but we'll start again of that's what's needed.

As Evertonians who have watched this crap year after year after year we've known we've got no divine right not to go down, we've seen seasons where we've all thought "ffs we've been lucky". We'll this time, this squad, this ownership, these will take us down and as fans we've got nothing to be ashamed of because we've never taken this for granted.

So if we are the Titanic, we'll I'll be the violinist playing to the end ( with a big fat joint in my inside Jacket and a bottle of JD with 1 minute to go )
I’m defo a rat leaving the sinking ship. I lost my passion for Everton over the last 5 or so years, as well as my interest in football.
