Also he knows exactly how much the top teams hate a snidey game of footy and if not for some terrible refs I think he could have got a point at anfield too.

He hasn't been able to get us confident on the ball yet with the constant changes to the team and their rock bottom confidence but once we get out of the relegation fight I have a lot of hope for what he can do with us next year.

I thought sitting back that entire second half was insane

He got it right though

Lampard 1, Mikey 0

Happy to take many more L’s my dear Francis
Tbf though mate we did press on too. We had three really good chances to make it 2-0 and they all came from pressing at the right time, just like for the goal. bit more compsure from Myko or Gray and it was 2-0.

Let's just hope we do get out. Need Arsenal to do us a favour and we need to do our job - it's in our hands at least.

has to get it right in the Leicester and Watford games. 4 points from them would be huge

Also, my personal congratulations to Frank Lampard on beating the guy that replaced him at Chelsea. Tuchel is one helluva coach. To put a finger in his eye, with this Everton... take a bow, son. I hereby declare the matter of is lampard a good coach or not, closed. Thank you.

Had my doubts if he could organise a defensive performance like that. If we get through this I think he will have learned a huge amount about the players and club which can only be good for us going forward
Actually came on to post something similar. But whatever about players, club etc he’ll surely learn a lot from this type of game with regards to the importance of setting up a team to not lose being just as important as setting up a team to play on the front foot all the time.

I agree. I was massively supportive of his appointment but then had a bit of a wobble when we were getting our pants pulled down by Newcastle. Frank has shown that he is willing to engage in the dark arts to get the results and I'm absolutely all for it.

If this season has taught us anything it is that outside of the club we are seen as the "Millwall of the North". Totally undeserved because we are nothing like them but for some reason it really seems that everyone hates us.

I love seeing opposition fans seething about Gordon or Richarlison, it means they're ruffling feathers. For too long we've been a soft touch, nice boys club. It's time to throw all that in the bin and relish being the pantomime villain that we seem to get painted as.

In the words of William Kenwright:

"What a Manager"

…eh? you’ve been blaming him since Benitez left & I think with some justification.

Whilst throwing him into the post at the time hasn’t worked out, I’m sure had he been there from the start of the season we’d have been fine.

I think he’s learning on the job and he’ll be fine in the long-term but let’s not forget he’s inherited the conflict off the pitch his predecessor purposefully caused. If he can keep us up he could be exactly what we need.
