So now it's acceptable to have low possession?

Lampard tried to play a more free-flowing football. We were struggling. He changed it to a more pragmatic, 'ugly' style, and we have won 2, and drawn one of the last 4. But that's not what you want either.
Credit to him for ignoring the fact that Conte doesn't play antifootball and never has lol

He sets up his teams well in defense - Tottenham have had possession in the upper half of the table since he's joined. They just play more direct and shoot A LOT more.

It's about chances, create more, concede less, create more high quality ones, concede less. You can do this in many ways, Lampard has yet to find one.
So your solution to him not finding one yet in a crap situation with crap players and in a relegation fight is... to fire him.

Do you think literally anyone else would've come in and made us look like prime Barca?

I think someone could have done better. I think someone could do better.

Again I think this summer is a fresh start, Lampard or not, so wouldn't you employ the best manager you can find? Why are we chained to Frank?

His job is to find ways to win. He has done that recently.

Moyes was a defensive coach and we didn't always create lots of chances under him.

Martinez created bucketloads of chances. And wanted all the possession. We then conceded loads of goals as well.

Ultimately, winning games is what it's about, and lampard has managed to find a way that's currently been working for us.

Why don't you back him because he isn't getting sacked now, and likely not in the summer.

Davek:
The results on the pitch are poor now. But if we can keep Benitez in place for another 18 months many of the issues above him in the boardroom and underneath him amongst the playing / coaching staff will disappear.

I just hope he gets the chance to carry it out. Moshiri surely knows sticking with Benitez is the only course open to him if he wants to address the culture of amateurism.

seems like you believed in him, Dave
Posted in the week after we'd beaten Arsenal and held Chelsea...and the transfer window had just opened to get reinforcements in.

Put your thinking cap on before you vault.

Because there is literally no one better on the horizon who would want to take this dumpster fire. I have no idea how that's hard to understand? Is Pochettino gonna randomly decide "haha yeah lads joining Everton"? Or should we crawl back to Vitor Pereira? Or a new flavour of the month for an unproven manager because "look at Klopp"?

Lampard is a young manager who seems to learn from his mistakes, has enough pragmatism, when he didn't need to use it for every game his teams played quite good football. He's not the best manager in the history of the game, but he seems to be a good motivator and players listen to him because he's a legend of the game.

Yes I'd prefer it to be someone better, but Guardiola's taken, believe it or not, so I'd say we give it to Lampard.

exactly when the benitez sycophants were trotting out excuses , injuries , the lackluster squad and mutiny i always countered with it's his onus as manager to secure results despite difficult circumstances. Frank's finally doing that.

I think he needs to show some real progress the next 5 games to secure his job going forward. Whether we stay up or not there isn't any point to keeping him around if all he's got is trying to scrape points. We're making no progress in producing a style of play and while I get the circumstances are tough I don't think we need to wait another year just to find out he doesn't actually have it.
What you’re describing is the football Bielsa was playing at Leeds. Blindly continuing the same methods and systems regardless of who they were playing. As a result they’ve had some massive thrashings this season and that poor goal difference could be the difference between them staying up or going down.
Lampard has done the right thing- realised the players couldn’t play his preferred method so has successfully adapted and as a result is picking up some much needed points.
