Is it because the fan base have something to unite against, relegation. Rather than, the Moyes mid table mediocrity. Is this why fans are united rather lampard effect?

Ps no lampard hate intended!!!

God no.

If we stay up I want top 4.

Not even joking.

Look, after Leicester won the league, I dont see why we cant dream of top 4 every season.

Probably a bit of both. Lampard has helped build the connect between club and fans again. I personally think he was the right person to do that and to lift spirits, even if at times he has been a bit naive tactically (which seems to be improving).

I am a Liverpudlian but i support Everton i do hope other people in Liverpool support Everton;)
If your an Evertonian your NOT a Liverpudlian
You are a scouser
Net use they term on here thanks. I don’t want any association with that evil cult
Thanks
Scouse Evertonian

Said it at the time, what if we go down by a point!? They admitted liability when they apologised, so surely we would have a case for suing them for losses etc, not that that’s the point.

The corruption and bias is just so obvious, it’s actually got worse than pre var which takes some doing.

That’s the problem they have with VAR… they have none of the old , happened in real time, couldn’t see it excuses that they used to hide behind.

Now there are no excuses for inconsistency, so they now just don’t review instances, which just highlights the bias and corruption

I guarantee you that if he was stupid enough to think (and say) that he didn't get a result because of a referee not awarding an advantage for something that was fairly dubious at best he would definitely be charged. It is ludicrous to suggest the game is bent. That doesn't mean things like VAR couldn't be made more transparent, but Super Frankie didn't ask for that - he said it was biased in favour of another team. His evidence .... er tin foil hat time. The man's an idiot. He's passing the buck for setting us up to surrender the game and condemned us to no threat when he moved Gordon from the left wing where he was actually very effective. He did the same at Burnley.

It is bias , the real vs city match showed how refs have bias towards whoever the biggest team is.

Even rice has called the red corrupt in the Europa

It’s becoming so blatant

I've gone bankrupt buying cars on Cazoo lad, even though I can't drive lar.
All just to help the mighty bloos.
Proper boss bloo me lid.

God bless.

Can’t class yourself as a blue until you pretend to mortgage your house and lie about it for over a decade.

I’d take Moyes mid table mediocrity over any of the managers and teams we’ve had since.

If we stay up, really interested to see what stamp he can put on the team in conjunction with Thelwell.

I accept it will be difficult but I want to see younger, hungry players here, players with a future ahead of them rather than in the past..

We haven't had this type of connection with fans since Martinez Year 1. It feels great. That will be also difficult to maintain but I really like how he has harnessed unity in the face of crisis. It's not at all fake or flakey. That's impressive given a lot of factors which wouldnt necessarily have suggested he would become popular. I mean in the face of results. But anyone succeeding Benitez was going to get plenty of goodwill. He has channeled that very adeptly in home games, we need away results now.

Looking forward all being well to a fresh start and fresh ideas for next season. Just get safe.

Lampard has done everything he can to foster a good relationship with the fan base

Benitez wouldn’t even extend an olive branch by apologising for the small club comment

Night and day

Just hope Lampard can keep us up

Think he will mate, agree with pretty much everything you said there too.

Even if we don't, I'd keep him on for next season, think we stumbled by accident onto the single best manager in terms of what we 'need' at pretty much literally the last chance we had before the club completely imploded on itself.

We stay up the guy will have more goodwill and support behind him than anyone since Royle, which with us lot is a massive factor in if he can succeed here.

Good take imo - might not be the best but he might certainly be what we need. Says the right things to fans, players seem to commit to his ideas... In a way, that's a more Everton way than anything we've had in ages, oddly enough.

Wierdly think if we stay up (we will now imo) then just how difficult a learning step this has been for him as a manager
(one he seems to have noticably learned from too) can be the experience that takes him from a manager with promise but really raw (naive maybe) and into one who is at that next level.

For me mate, when he's talking it comes across as completely open too, not bs, think any other way it's seen through pretty quickly by us - the old saying about Scousers easily spotting bs'ter comes to mind.

We've had a host of managers spew the line about getting the club and fans, the words are easily said, I'm judging it on actions, and Lampard gives off every single sign he does indeed 'get us'. What did Bally say again, think this is a case of it in point
