Yes, this is a big test of the manager.

It would be wonderful - for this season - and confidence-building - for next - if we could get the four points we need over the coming two matches. That would show a manager and team who seized the moment and got themselves safe and didn't cower, prove themselves not up to the job, and survive only because little Burnley or decimated Leeds imploded. I'd like to see us grasp this chance ourselves and do it our way, if only for our battered self-esteem and, crucially, to give the manager a bit of credibility going into the summer. He will need that power.

….prefer it if he doesn’t play a holding game today hoping we Nick a goal some where along the way. Those tactics were fine against Chelsea and Leicester (and perhaps he should’ve deployed them more often during his tenure) but we failed to exploit a great opportunity at Watford.

The away defeat at Brentford was a prime example of losing a game we should’ve won by being too conservative. Let’s not make that mistake again today, we can still be strong defensively & give ourselves more creativity.

He’s not going to change what’s been working regardless of the opposition. He’s got them well organised as a unit and nothing like how the fat kopite had us at Brentford
