I think this manager is bad and a different one might be less bad
This is it exactly. I'm sorry if 'negative' is not wanting to be in a relegation battle and believing we are better than it. We've only had Lampard post Rafael. That's not evidence that the team is relegation fodder no matter what manager we have.

The club literally threw away 15 points at the start of the season waiting on transfers and you honestly think a new manager is going to come in, change the culture of the club and build a winning team from the low hanging fruit that the club loves to buy? Absolutely delusional.
Replacements??? Don't be so stupid. Who do you think would come to this wreck of a side with no money and the accountant in charge? Pep? Klipperty? Conte ? Dream on lads !!

Yes can't keep hanging on because "it's not right to keep sacking Managers" look at West Brom , a month ago bottom with Brucey and we were all saying, "can't sack another Manager it must be the players", well we did and look now , 5 wins on the trot and only one goal, a penalty, conceded with same [Poor language removed] players but obviously a new Manager who has given them a purpose
You seem confident we would select a decent manager.
The championship Tbf is easier for a good manager to make an impact… a decent side and a strong set up has seen many teams to get promoted. The premier league is less maluable.
I look at the squad and I can’t see how anyone could turn this side round with a forward added to the mix

I think he is a good manager, he just needs to look at his time here and note that the good bit came when he binned many of the failures out of the team and motivated everyone, and the bad bit came when he relied on the failures that are left and didn't punish them.

If he is to be a success he has to be ruthless in this January window; if he instead relapses into talking about legends of the club and what they've got to offer us as old players or after retirement then he needs to be sacked.

I'm sure FL has been firmly bitten by his decision to play the fringe players in the Bournemouth cup game; I can understand why he played the likes of Keane, Mina, Holgate, Davies etc but that could have cost him his job and I don't think we'll be seeing quite a few of those lads in a blue shirt again if it can be helped.

We had the best manager in the world and he was bad… at some point we have to stop throwing managers under the bus to cover for the poor way the club is run.
Ancelotti was never bothered here. If he came in with a desire to actually do something I'd agree, but what he did here was so low effort that I can't say he takes no blame.

Bournemouth played its fringe players.

Come the premier league game a few days later we had more of the starting eleven that played in both games.

That is absolute nonsense and hugely disrespectful of him. The first half of his season here was the best Everton have played probably in the premier league era. He stated his reasons for coming but looked at a summer of spending £1.7m as well as a squad that has now downed tools for every manager since moyes and thought that wasn’t for him. No decent manager is going to look at how we shafted Carlo and come here.
