There's still nobody available that would get our horrible team playing better then Lampard has (which is a shocking reflection on them). At best it would be another sideways move and another manager sacked for the sake of pacifying disgruntled fans.

The match day fans are by and large behind him.

They can see that the problem`s at the club run much much deeper, than the manager.

There`s just a few, with dubious accounts on here, who hopefully will disappear again, if he can steady the ship.

* Note, that many of them, have either hardly posted anything at all or haven`t posted a single thing during the World Cup, yet are starting to pop back up again.

Strange that, isn`t it ?

You mean the Liverpool football club customers?

Just to be clear?

Lampard gets us up to midtable and all will be fine again in the world.

Needs time and support.

Well you'll get your wish soon. Lampard 100% won't see this season out and the next patsy will get his turn at taking the blame for our wretched team. At best we'll stumble over the line again to stay up and we'll get another season like this again. Nothing can or will ever change for the better at our club while the hierarchy that brought us to this remain in power.
This , with bells on (well it is crimbo tlme ) ho fecking ho

Spot on mate.

Mad how all of their dubious negative posts are liked by the forum idiot too, foreverbeaut92

Gone by midnight on 3rd of January following three consecutive defeats.

Almost a certainty imo.

Absolutely untenable position if we get fewer than 3 points by then, and tbh even that would be a terrible return when you consider we've got Brighton and Wolves at home.

What a gigantic f up yet again but the board not to have acted during the World Cup, as if we didn't learn from keeping Benitez far beyond his expiry date.

Ultimately,

swapping managers every 6-12 months doesnt work.

Could see in the first 7/8 games the foundations of what he is trying to implement. Defensively much better but lacking quality in attack.

I do not believe for a second Frank Lampard, who has been the best, played with the best believes that his current options at satisfactory.

Sacking him and creating another merry go around doesnt do anything. Has to be a good 3/4 year period of stability and progress. Problems aren tfixed in one summer... No matter how frustrating it is that we didnt recruit a decent attacker to support uptop.

You're spot on, but don't forget Lampard signed off on us offering Alli a multi-year contract, deemed it acceptable to spend almost £30m on McNeil and Maupay, and prioritised £33m on Onana (who I really rate) over using the money more wisely on attacking options. That's unforgivable for me and is why we are lingering near the bottom of the table. He got it massively wrong, alongside Thelwell, when it came to signings.

In summer we needed midfield options as much as we needed attackers.

Maupay i dont understand at all.
McNeill, could see the logic in him as an option, a bit more defensive, can cross a ball. He's not a starter for sure.
Delle Alli was a gamble as it was last minute, and I dont believe he will play for Everton again meaning we wont pay anything more than his contract.

For all those criticisms, you have to then give the smooth of it,

Tarkowski - outstanding free signing.
Coady - been an axcellent loan signing with set fee to buy
Onana - very, very high ceiling, still a bit raw in my eyes but a very promoising signing
Iwobi - Just regurgitate an old joke... Is like a new signing. He's got the best out of him.
Myko - Probably an ashley cole influence, his defending is very very good, but lacks a little going forward.#
Gana - while not the same IGG we knew before he went to PSG, he's still a big improvement on the crap we had before.

Vinagre I completely disregard as hes the most blatent "cheap loan in worst case scenario that Myko gets a serious injury".

I cannot say that anyone there got it 'massively wrong'. There has been good and bad, they signed an Attacker in Maupay, whether that was because they felt there was little other options that were cheap or value, and thought he'd be a good punt. We don't know really do we? We did also have Kudus coming in, only for Ajax to pull out.

We deserpately need attacking re-inforcements for sure. Hopefully this is addressed, if it is, we will be fine this season. FL and his team have put enough foundations in, it's just whether the attacking piece of the jigsaw comes together.

There is zero value in sacking Lampard just now.

I don't agree with that in the slightest. You're not telling me that if the opportunity was there to swap Lampard for Guardiola today you wouldn't take it? You would, and you'd be right to. Lampard hasn't done anything to show that he's a good manager, literally nothing. That doesn't mean we should sack him, because obviously in the real world we wouldn't be getting Guardiola to replace him, and I don't think that Pereira or Martinez would necessarily improve us, but let's not pretend that nobody could possibly be doing a better job than Lampard is, they really could.
