2022/23 Frank Lampard

I really have no idea what happens with him. He’s capable of having good games where he’s everywhere but then he’s equally capable of looking timid and couldn’t pass a ball two yards.

If we get a good offer from Fulham then we should take it and move on.

Think he knows he's 2nd fiddle to Onana now and probably wants to move on.

Would love to know what this progress is they have seen, because I have seen no evidence of it. He is tactically inept and I don't know what his 20 or so staff do other than steal a living
He's the only current employee or representative of the club that could be described as "great". Sadly, that greatness was for his time as a Chelsea player. Evertonians love a bit of stardust. Given that the current playing staff and ownership are bereft of competence, it's easy for people to feel seduced by Frank. He actually achieved something in the game.

I’d love for someone with more technical know-how and free time to knock up a montage of the “Everton ageing process“ on our recent manager’s first and last games. I remember a disheveled, unshaven Koeman shuffling about at the end of his tenure, it was quite the look. Martinez also looked like his own father in just 3 years
Don't forger poor Marco Silva. Rainswept and downtrodden, it appeared like he had survived an ordeal in a remote uninhabitable rainforest.

Well no one’s meant to unless we’re actually there at Finch Farm day in day out to see in person, considering they talk of working on this or working on that in training then the players step over the line and make brain dead decisions that go against the instructions given
But we've been saying the players are brain dead for aeons. The manager's job was to identify if he could add some intelligence or not - and if not, sell. I mean, are we seriously going to give Alex Iwobi an improved contract? The mind boggles. I'm sure Iwobi's would too, but you know...

I mean Iwobi more than most actually got his head down and put the effort in, probably not enough for a new deal but he at least didn’t just give up and coast out on his wages like say a Gomes

Times are looking very grim. The more time we give lampard equals less time we have for a potential replacement.

You may hate my comment but big Sam is what we need. You may ask why?

Because he’s realistic.. he will look at the squad and call them out! He will say it like it is. We don’t have quality then we must fight to survive. Sure football isn’t attractive but what’s the point we’re sitting 1 point above relegation zone. Can we afford to play attractive football at this point??

Yes big Sam does have a mouth piece and should not talk too much but still the man is strategic and got us to 8th

Oh, he's improved and full credit to him. But has he improved enough to be a real difference maker for us? Does six months of improvement wipe out three-and-a-half years of appalling under-performance? I wouldn't put him on the transfer list or anything, but by the same token I wouldn't be giving him an improved deal. He hasn't earned it.

Spot on mate. He’s not good enough.
Improved isn’t good enough I think he could do better in the Italian league with less pace tbh.

Big Sam was relegated in his last job if you are going down that line then why not Dyche? He's younger and has done better with less. I don't want either just saying Thomas Frank could be worth a go?

Just for the simple fact that he’s managed us before and he’s realistic. He will tell us if a player isn’t good enough and won’t beat around the bush like Frank and say iwobi needs a contract extension mate.
