What was the thinking behind putting Doucoure on? Are you worried you will lose your job considering you have a worse win percentage than the last manager?
Can you clarify your comments regarding the fans contribution to the loss against Wolves?
Was it wrong to place all of your eggs in the Dominic Calvert-Lewin basket?
All fair questions, but this is football in 2022, the managers are all media trained and will just give generic answers.

1. I felt like we needed some fresh legs, Abdoulaye was unlucky to miss out on the team, he's been training well, he deserved a chance.
2. Of course, at a big club like this you have to get results and we haven't done that recently, but I believe I still have the backing of the owner and the chairman.
3. Look, the fans have been terrific since I got here, I wasn't suggesting otherwise. It's hard as a player when you can hear the grumbling in the stands but it goes with the territory at a big club like this and rightly so.
4. Everything's easy with hindsight but nobody could have foreseen the injury to Dom and we had to prioritise getting in the players we needed, i'd do the same thing again.

You can almost guarantee they're the responses you'd get, so why bother asking the questions? This isn't PMQs, the media aren't there to hold the club to account, they're there to get a few quotes for their articles.

Lanolin for manager!!!!!

What??

You’ve just said Silva (at Everton) had bad runs, but nothing like lampard. I replied and said and he had a more creative team.

And now you’re going on about Fulham

Are you on crack?
Nah I'm going on about Fulham because you said Silva had more creative players and I'm pointing out that he also has Fulham flying. He's a better manager than Lampard

Because it builds pressure and forces the board to make a change if all the media can talk about is how a bad manager is managing Everton

He's not being asked to fix the team in that time. He's being asked to get us to a comfortable 14th or 15th.
Which means fixing a team that was already relegation bound when he assumed control and had to spend the first part of his reign in desperate and ultimately successful firefight.

No, YOU said Silva had bad runs but not as bad as Lampard at Everton

I don’t support Fulham so don’t give a rats arse what they’re doing. Silva had a a more creative team than Lampard and I would have expected better results.

We have 5 players (not including DCL) who who haven’t scored 50 top flight goals between them.

See the difference

Post match seems to be more raw and honest as you say pre match press conferences are very generic

This is why I barely watch interviews you don't get much.

What you wrote is pretty much all he'll ever say
