Absolute nonsense. He’s had very little chance of succeeding here, selling Richarlison and then getting a pittance to try to replace him and the rest of the first team. The state we’re in and bringing Simms back is the best the board can offer.

Hung out to dry by the board.
Richarlison hasn't exactly taken Tottenham by storm, and there isn't a big difference between him and Maupay when it comes to goal production. So it's not like we've replaced Messi with Kieffer Moore (Which, by the way, was a total disaster in the Norwegian league).

Who by the way has 4 PL goals this year, while Maupay has 1 goal, while Richarlison has zero.

Onana and Gana had nothing to so with the three I mentioned above.

I do not agree. Use McNail, Maupay and Garner fees to sign a player say Kudus. They tried to spend the goals with 3 no-mark hoping they will do the job.
This assumes (a) Ajax were willing to sell him and Antony in the same window - they weren't (b) we were the player's first choice - I doubt it, and (c) we could afford a large fee on terms acceptable to Ajax - also no.

We were highly unlikely to get Kudus, however hard we tried.

Next suggestion?

I bet Richarlison would get goals if he still was here. Yes he struggles at Spurs but I don't think that makes him comparable to Maupay.

Honestly think we are done for either way. Don’t rate him massively but don’t think many managers are getting a tune out of these players. We haven’t got a team. Just 11 players each week that look like they have just met each other a few minutes before kick off. We haven’t got players who can score goals, we can not pass the ball, we get controlled most games. I mean we have just been beat by a team who had 10 points and 8 goals before we played them. I think there’s a growing acceptance that sooner or later we will drop out this league.

It will take one hell of a transfer window to turn this around. One in which we appear to have no money.

One of the more bizarre takes I've heard, because he's English lol, never even came into consideration. I don't and assume many don't care about nationality of manager or players, weird thing to say.
"You can be any nationality you want, just so long as you are a Tory-hating ardent socialist born within a three mile radius and have a tattoo of Mark Pembridge on your arse!" ?
