2022/23 Frank Lampard

I see the Chelsea fans are slagging off Potter and chanting Tuchel. The awful Shearer says he can't handle prima donnas. We don't have any so he might do well with us.

Today is the day, if it is going to happen before the next game. I am hoping they have been sorting things out over the weekend. As with with most things Everton, it's in hope rather than expecting

I'd argue Carlo's management after that initial first 10 games was as bad as anything Rafael or Frank has served up tbf
You mean when he had a massive injury crisis?

Ultimately, he saved us from relegation in his first half season, and then gave us ‘good times’ up until Christmas when the injuries took over and he had to go to 4 CBs.

Still got the most points per game for us by a considerable margin since Martinez and we were never going on runs of 1 win in 12. He found ways to get results even with a depleted squad.

Hell, he beat the RS at the pit with a midfield of Davies, Gomes and Doucoure. If that’s not good management then I don’t know what is.

I’m even doubting this tbh.
I suppose if we draw it's hard to be sure. If we lose he is gone, no doubt about it.

He should already have been sacked because his records is awful, because the club are under big pressure due to the fan pressure.

But if we lose on Saturday, we are odds on favourites to go down and they will have no choice but to change manager. They have left it as long as possible to avoid a change, and Saturday is that point.

It's much more negligent to be 9 days into the window and not have signed any attackers when they've literally known what was needed for 7 months.

The board are probably waiting to see how the Southampton and West Ham games go Toff, if we win both games the board will think we can go with what we’ve got, we get beat in both games, then Frank will get sacked with no immediate replacement and there will be a mad rush in the last week of the transfer window to get some loans in. You could easily see that being the scenario with our incompetent board.

If it's any consolation - and it's probably not - I don't doubt this. I think he will go if we don't beat them.

I've not yet crossed the threshold into 100% wanting Lampard out, and with the exception of Benitez, the final straw for me on every sacked manager from Martinez onwards has been at the same moment the club has decided to pull the trigger.

Or at least, that's how I remember it.

It's not something I'm especially proud of, but I do seem to sync up with the club hierarchy's opinion on when the 'right' time is.

The fact he’s been left in charge for this game is negligence imo. It’s clear and obvious to absolutely everyone that he isn’t turning it around at this point. In fact we might well win on Saturday and then get utterly spanked in our next 3 after that, which leaves us no better off. I have backed Lampard for as long as I realistically could, but he was done after Bournemouth. There was no way back after that, impossible to recover.

Hopefully they somehow had the weekend off and he is dismissed this morning before the players report for training. I'm no fan of Dyche but you'd be hard pressed to find a professional manager who couldn't do better on three measly wins since August. Appalling record.
This is Everton we are talking about

I said exactly the same after the Bournemouth games but it's clear the club have zero plan so it's not like they would have a replacement lined up if they did sack him.

We are in a rock and a hard place. We have a manager who is finished at the club and he won't turn things around, but equally we have a board and owner who I do not trust to find a good replacement.

Agree and if they are backing him they should have had players lined up but they've done neither

Why are people still talking like he will be sacked before the next game?

It's very clear that he is in charge this weekend, and will be sacked if he doesn't win. There is no point posting every few minutes to say he should be sacked.

Still could happen today, they might have been talking at the weekend and getting things in place
