I think "we" were given a horrible choice tho.

A failed journeyman manager or an "up-and-coming young manager, who used to score blammos", there was only ever gonna be 1 winner.

But you know, the fans did protest against the appointment of FSW, so how much say did they really have?
realistically which manager would you like to have in place for Lampard. Who can save our club.

See let's say we get the win we need, we then play West Ham, we can't lose that either, next 2 games is an absolute minimum of 4 points, with 3 starting on Saturday.
Forget the next ywo games after that, we're into the middle of February then.

It's a ridiculous situation we have put ourselves in. Beat Saints, lose the next 3, then what do we do with a couple of decent games to follow

I have no idea.

I think we will struggle to attract anybody above Sean Dyche currently.

If we can somehow get to the Summer without spending a vast sum of money this window and not getting relegated, our options are much broader.

Yeah, he is just going to get one more game all the time, like the city result saved him, would of been better to have lost that and draw against Wolves

Potter has only been at Chelsea five minutes though, if they give him time and next summer, I reckon he will be a success.

Our expectations might be higher than Burnley but I don’t think they should be much higher, unfortunately we are a relegation outfit. Having higher expectations than we should do is part of the reason we are in this mess.

If you take a step back and have a look at the last few years and the way Moshiri has pandered to fan pressure, because of higher expectations, it is definitely part of the problem. If we accept, at this present time, that we are a relegation outfit and get a firefighter like Dyche in to settle the ship, we might get to BMD a premier league team. Once we are settled we can then look to progress.

Give Dyche a two year contract, get settled, maintain premier league status and if it’s still not for us, let him go.

Utterly utterly ridiculous thing to say. 10 years of crap transfer policy is what see us where we are today. Not fans or owners expecting a return on the hundreds on millions of pounds spent. An ambitious club would have behaved like one in the transfer market, we did not.

Not according to him. His treatment for prostrate cancer was successful - as a quick Google search will tell you https://amp.theguardian.com/footbal...rom-cancer-inspires-netherlands-world-cup-bid
that's good news... heard it was terminal. Either way, a man in remission from cancer should stay well clear of this mess, and likely would too
Not a realistic target
I agree that he probably shouldn’t but it looks as if he hasn’t completely given up on the idea of managing again if this is to be believed https://www.goal.com/en/amp/news/po...ter-confirming-retirement/blt1a7b07ed9857953d
