Lampard has a worse record with us than Benitez, a lot worse. Second only to Mike Walker currently but that could be beaten too if they leave him in charge for much longer.
Will say that Benitez had Richarlison and had DCL scoring (all be it penalties) for the first 3 matches. Also Townsend chipped with a few goals. Only really went tits up when Richarlison and DCL were both out.

Not disagreeing with the stats, but if you haven't got players who can score goals you won't win many football matches.

He has the worst squad in all our history. Genuinely he does. Probably the least balanced in all the league.

It’s always confirmed that the manager has an input on transfers. And yet managers keep having players bought for them.

McNeil, Maupay. Considering according to you he wanted them neither of them are first choice. Given the previous noises around McNeil when Benitez was at the club is would be a staggering coincidence that two mangers both wanted the same crap player. But he was easy pickings for the club to sign and that is how it works at Everton. Managers get the players the club doesn’t have to work too hard to sign.

Some of the squads in the late 90's and early 2000's were much worse in terms of quality than this one.

Bournemouth reserves and Bournemouth first team easily outplayed us before the world cup and that was players from the championship and League one bought on a fraction of what we had spent. We had in both of them games full international players bought in excess of Bournemouths starting 11.

Pretty sure Maupay started against United and McNeil started the last league game at home against Brighton.

As for the recruitment of McNeil it would have been signed off by Lampard. The previous recruitment team had left with Brands or didn't want to work with Benitez.

The simple facts are that Lampard, had 18 games in charge last season and got 20 points. This season he has played 18 games and has 15 points plus out of both cups.

He has took us backwards.

Will say that Benitez had Richarlison and had Dominic Calvert-Lewin scoring (all be it penalties) for the first 3 matches. Also Townsend chipped with a few goals. Only really went tits up when Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were both out.

Not disagreeing with the stats, but if you haven't got players who can score goals you won't win many football matches.
It is not just the scoring though is it mate, it is the whole set up. We have conceded 19 goals in the last 8 matches. You would need to have the best strikers in the world and you still wouldn't score enough to win a game. The team are definitely not world beaters but they should be nowhere near the bottom 3. They are being very badly managed which is why we are heading for relegation. Most managers would have this team mid table which is still not good enough but Lampard is taking us backwards and ultimately down if he isn't removed quickly.

The clubs lack of recruitment and the mental 4/3/3 formation has been indefensible, Lampards probably going to be sacked soon and it’s a shame as I thought he was far more savvy than he is, the 2 Bournemouth atrocious displays/team selections were the beginning of the end and completely avoidable.

I'd love us to come out and get a few results and Frank turns it around just can't see it in the long term he us a nice guy but the job feels too big for him his tactics are the biggest issue. I'll say this if the club are backing him they need to come out and say it and back him in the market
