I don’t agree. McNeil £20m Maupay £15m Garner potentially £15.5m. Just awful recruitment.
Bloody hell you not giving Garner a chance.

As I said, it's subjective. Not many people would say that Adarabioyo, Duffy, Toffolo, Reed, Cairney, Kebano, Decordova-Reid, Cook, Surridge, O'Brien, Colback, McKenna etc are better than our players if we're being honest and not hyperbolic. There certainly wasn't a lot of excitement when we were linked with Lingard, Dennis, Pereira, or Dan James so let's not pretend that they're clear improvements on paper either. Even Mitrovic - who some people now seem to talk about as if he's the reincarnation of Dixie Dean - went into this season with a PL record of 24 goals in 104 games, while Maupay, who's apparently more like a reincarnation of Dixie the giant toffee mascot, had a record of 26 in 102.You could argue Southampton’s players are worse, that’s valid. Forest’s issue is an entire squad of new players not being able to gel overnight for obvious reasons, but strictly on paper I think you’d struggle to make a case for their players being worse than ours. How many of our players do you think they’d take? Fulham certainly have better players than us all over the pitch imo. Most of theirs and Forest’s players are internationals as well, that genuinely means nothing these days.

As I said, how it looks on paper isn't the important thing, and it's a matter of opinion either way, but I think the idea that we're clearly worse than those sort of teams on paper is plainly just self pitying nonsense.
Have not registered. If you know a crap player is crap just don’t buy him. I rather play kids instead of wasting money.Have a read of the Athletic article today and see what background they’re operating in. It’s negligence alright…from the board.
Most on here seem to have written the lad off already, if he has any sense when he is fit he will get the hell out of here fast. Feel sorry for the lad.Bloody hell you not giving Garner a chance.

Lampard should have been sacked after Bournemouth. His continued employment is proof of our complete lack of basic standards - but also of our paralysis due to the sanctions. My point is not that Frank should be kept on, but that there will be no steering the ship around while the current absent leadership remains in place. A better manager would have kept us up in this climate - and possibly still would even now. But I think we're circling the drain and have left it too late and even i we were to stay up, so what? To repeat all of this again next season? Without new ownership, we're basically Sisyphus, to be eternally punished for cheating death twice.Agree with this, but I don't think it shows that "a new manager is almost beyond the point". A new manager is probably the one possible variable that can keep us in the league – likely playing scrappy, defensive football– for one more season while we pray for the situation at the top to change. Unfortunately, even if, say, Sean Dyche does come in, take us back to basics and keep us up one more year, Everton FC look to my eyes like a club circling the drain and waiting to go down. It's the same stink that hung around Villa, West Ham, Newcastle and, most worryingly, Sunderland before their eventual relegations.
Depends on who you trust on GOT for your information. Some say £50m others say £100m, others .....the skies the limit.Absolutely lunacy to say its not Lampard fault for our form. He has spent nearly 80m not including Alli and we have gone backwards.

Neither have I - the article isn’t behind a paywall. Well worth a read.Have not registered. If you know a crap player is crap just don’t buy him. I rather play kids instead of wasting money.
Ok I’ll take a look, cheers.Neither have I - the article isn’t behind a paywall. Well worth a read.
Ok I’ll write him off from the list above. My mistake. Hope he can stay fit soon.He is 21, looks a good player and its a massive shame he is injured right now.
I agree, I just want him to get fit again and try and push for the team. I know I watched a good player at Forest last season in the Championship. He is 21, looks a good player and its a massive shame he is injured right now.
His teams have no structure, and rely on wondergoals or corners. Tactically naive, and never makes subs at the right time. Nice fella, but unfortunately not a premiership manager.Absolutely lunacy to say its not Lampard fault for our form. He has spent nearly 80m not including Alli and we have gone backwards.
