The results speak for itself. FL messed up.

A relegation battler would have try to keep that 1 point regardless of the fan base. Southampton was gaining on us and his substitution wasn't good.

Gordon's mistake was no coincidence. An experienced manager would have replace a player to gain control. instead FL destabilised a shaky defense to add an attacker who has not provided much all season. and at 1-1, it wasn't overly necessarily to add attacking flair. it was necessarily to have added control.

The biggest irony of all was FL was trying to make Gordon the "starboy". Instead, Gordon may have cost FL his job.

He has an inability to make changes when needed he is reactive with his subs rather than pro-active.

And there are some real basics that any good coach would spot with certain players and then try to rectify on the training ground.

Mykolenko not overlapping enough, Gray constantly slowing the play down and not getting the ball in early enough, Iwobi not holding position consistently enough. Players not running off the player with the ball and creating angles. Not finding a player who can take a set piece.. All absolute basics that can be coached into players of any ability.

Really wanted him to do well, but it has to be it now.

No it doesn't. You instruct your players do to things. They don't...you don't play them.
And put who in their place? If he benched some of these guys and played youth players you’d still be mad. He was in a lose lose situation. He needs to go and some of these players should never see the pitch again for the first team.

Left it too late. Should have gone after being slapped twice by Bournmouth. About 8 weeks then to have a proper sit down and get someone in.

It's a shame it hasn't worked out, saved us from relegation, was a likeable manager but he's so out of his depth now there's no way he can save us from relegation a second time and the team has no identity, we're basically a worse version of Burnley

Playing Iwobi in the middle ( the most important position in the team) should be enough to get the sack.
