McNeil never looked handy, in 150 games for Burnley he had 18 assists and 7 goals. That is beyond shocking

Gordon has scored 3 times this season, hardly slotting

Iwobi, 11 goals in 100 games for a free flowing arsenal side

We have replaced genuine quality with championship level quality. Yes, the tactics are atrocious but these players are so poor and gutless it’s beyond recognition.

A good player can get hold of a game and change, or make one pass that takes an entire defence out of action.

Today we’ve seen Gray actually run into defenders, take shots when players were open and Gordon trot around

Like you say Howe went in to Newcastle on the 9th November 2021, they were 19th after 11 games with 1 win and 10 points behind Everton. Howe went in and installed the 4-3-3 which they played consistently every week and added Trippier £13.5m, Wood £25m, Guimaraes £33.5m, Targett on loan and Burn £15m for a total of £87m.

They finished 10 points above us with 2 more wins. It shows what a consistent team can do every week not like Lampard who flip flops between different formations, selections and style of play in every match..... Another manager like Howe will 100% get more from this squad.

Obviously the 87milliom is a huge amount. But I think the quality in our squad is higher than newcastles was.
I’m not sure where who the next Howe is though. I wasn’t sure he would cope in that role at the time

How can the board not act when they sacked Sam for finishing 8th? I just can’t get my head around this?

Frank is a lovely guy and he has a great rapport with us fans. He has also been hard done by in terms of having his best player (his only decent player) sold from underneath him and he’s bore the brunt of some dire refereeing decisions.

However, we are even worse than we were when he arrived.

Fans calling for Dyche etc because they've no knowledge of the wider footballing world (not claiming I have, but it's out there). We simply need a competent manager. At the moment we don't have one, but plenty of them exist.

I’d never heard of de Zerbi, and no doubt the majority of fans hadn’t either, but look at the fantastic job he’s doing. Sounds like the Brighton players love him as well.

Agree £87m is alot of money, but how much did we spend in the summer?

Maupay £11.8m
Garner £10.4m
Gueye £4m
= £78.2m, some will say alot will be on "Klarna" but we don`t know how the Newcastle deals were structured.

Plus then loan fees for Coady and Vinagre and I`m sure there would be a decent signing fee for Tarkowski, obviously we sold Richy as well, but you get my point.
