I still can't get over the fact he came out in an interview and admitted that his team talk consisted of him telling the players it wasn't a hugely tactical game before Southampton's best, most in form player was given the freedom of Goodison Park (for about the 20th time) to equalise within a minute of that rousing speech and was then given the golden opportunity to win it with a set piece (did none of them know he's quite good at them?).
For starters why would he even say that, 1-0 at half time as a team who can't score against bottom of the league desperate for a result on a good run of form seems like the perfect time to make it a hugely tactical game, as a manager of a relegation battling team (which is his expectation, another questionable thing to admit) that's when you need to step up. But even more puzzling is why on earth would he come out in an interview and admit that?
