If Thelwell doesn’t already have the managerial targets ready (for the inevitable) he should go along with Lampard

Genuine disgrace that Lampard is still manager of this club, utter fraud

He gets no say mate. None of our DOF's have ever had say in the managerial appointments, Brands pretty much confirmed this himself.

I still can't get over the fact he came out in an interview and admitted that his team talk consisted of him telling the players it wasn't a hugely tactical game before Southampton's best, most in form player was given the freedom of Goodison Park (for about the 20th time) to equalise within a minute of that rousing speech and was then given the golden opportunity to win it with a set piece (did none of them know he's quite good at them?).

For starters why would he even say that, 1-0 at half time as a team who can't score against bottom of the league desperate for a result on a good run of form seems like the perfect time to make it a hugely tactical game, as a manager of a relegation battling team (which is his expectation, another questionable thing to admit) that's when you need to step up. But even more puzzling is why on earth would he come out in an interview and admit that?

I do see how anyone can care about the manager. The board have consigned the team to relegation. Managed decline over the last few years.

There was about as much point the Leeds, Villa or Sunderland fans banging on about sacking their manager when they were in their tailspins. Ultimately these teams mismanaged their finances, had to strip all the quality out the team and replaced them with rubbish. Their upper management consigned them to their fates, so have ours.

Sack Lampard for all the good it will do.

yeah cause people can only be arsed about one thing at a time right?

Compare and contrast the fume in the ground to our past 5 sacked managers to Lampard.

Sir Farhad, the board and players getting untold stick at Goodison.

Not a peep about the Tory getting his arse handed to him every single week by gash opposition.

If the club had an actual plan, or structure, he wouldn’t be here. And this what worries me about this entire situation; they’ll have no idea on what to do next.

The club is broken from top to bottom; it’s not a defence of the manager because he has failed massively. But I fear what they would actually come back with.

We have a DoF (who does nothing) so does he have a say, or does that nobhead up top go about phoning his agent mates again to see who they have available.
