But I most definitely read that the fees were £15m and £20m, it was reported in almost every outlet at the time as being that. So I’m not sure why you thinking that you possibly might have read differently somewhere means that you can use that as a fact and claim everyone else is peddling rubbish.
See the irony in that?

Because he genuinely is a nice guy, he’s not gone out his way to alienate the fans, he’s shown honesty and you can see in that video yesterday and in recent weeks how much it’s affecting him on a personal level
Aye, on a personal level he comes across as a nice, genuine person; whatever happens, I have an inkling that he'll continue to talk fondly about the club.

Others, on the other hand, haven't been. But sadly, he doesn't appear to be a manager with the ability to get us out of the mess now or in the future.

With hindsight, we perhaps should have seen that last season.

The people running Everton are killing the club mate. Don't you get it? They're killing us. It goes even beyond relegation. There won't be an Everton to support if these scum aren't forced out. We'll be finished. Absolutely finished. It's already going take decades at the very least to undo the damage they're inflicting on us. They are the problem, and the fact that Lampard is still here is just further proof of that. The next manager will be in this exact same position in eighteen mouths or less, maybe he does a little better (he couldn't do any worse) but nothing real can ever or will ever change with the vermin running the club.
'Vermin', 'scum', strong words to use whilst talking about people.

COYB!

John.

I have no personal problem with Lampard - but the issue that lets our fanbase down is we obsess over a managers personality.

Klopp is an absolute prat but wouldn't we snap him up as manager if he walked away from LFC tomorrow and said he would come here ?

Alladyce and Benitez were doomed from the start because of their personalities, Silva was bemoaned for being dull and quiet.

Martinez and Lampard were/have been given unearned time to damage us because they're "nice blokes".

It shouldn't matter about how well liked a manager is or isnt - its football not Big Brother !

Well the trash that run our club are closer to parasites then people at this point. Small lowly creatures that can't exist on their own so attach themselves to something warm blooded and sentient so they can drin the life out of it before moving onto their next victim.

Maupay and McNeill have shown at Brighton and Burnley they can’t cut it in the PL prior to us signing them, so it was ludicrous to suggest they would here in a struggling team.
I’d rather we went for younger players from the championship than wasting money on this pair. It’s not being wise after the event, many voiced concerns when we were linked with them.

Maupay was a regular starter for a decent footballing side at Brighton.

Gotta ask why players like this struggle here. Trossard i think will fit in at arsenal. I bet if he came here he'd be another maupay and we'd be asking why. I think its pretty obvious though tbh.

No? There’s no irony in it because I wasn’t criticising you or saying your figures were wrong, you were. I’m simply saying there’s a really obvious reason why people say £35m, because it was widely reported that’s how much we paid, including on all the most widely read sites. Whether that’s true or not I don’t know, but it explains the use of the figure. You appear to have a sketchy memory or seeing one thing once that suggested differently, and have decided that everyone else is wrong and that article was right. It may have been, but seeing as you don’t even seem to remember where you saw it (or what it said, seeing as you’ve hedged your bets a bit since) it seems a bit unreasonable to think that everyone should be using it as gospel.
