2022/23 Frank Lampard

Up front means a lot to ffp though doesn’t it where our yearly net is what’s important
My understanding was we had to keep our losses this year and last to a certain number which wouldn’t have been possible if we’d paid up front

Terrible signings but we couldn’t have signed a real £25m player in their place unfortunately

A good argument would be why not look for gems who legitimately only cost £5m and take a punt like Brighton and co. do rather than waste on players we know are average or poor in this league.
You value the player on your balance sheet in year 1 at the guaranteed total (ascertainable) amount, not the upfront amount.

Its absolutely mental that some people are having a go at Lampard for not resigning. Like he's the bad guy for not just walking away from the big payoff that's coming his way when he inevitably does get sacked. Wake up people ffs. Nobody on here or anywhere else would just walk away from that. You'd have to be an idiot to even contemplate it. Yes its very obvious that Lampard isn't going to fix anything and is actually making things worse but lets have this right. He's not the real problem with this club. Not even close to it and him while him being sacked might give us a short term boost it really won't fix anything long term while the vermin running the club continue to pollute Goodison Park with their presence.
Ye it's a short term fix but that's what we need at this moment. We need to not get relegated this season and next. Make it to the stadium in the PL.

You're either an Evertonian or a Fronktonian.

Can't be both at this stage.

This was never even a thing other than in your demented head. Nobody who backed the manager earlier is still doing it now, it is impossible to do so and results have spoken.

Only absolute weirdos and possibly non-Evertonians continue to back a failing manager months and months after they’ve been proven to be failures. Especially when said manager is an obese kopite who left the club 12 months ago.

But you have to ask why we signed those players - same problem in the summer as we do now. Can only bring in players on loan or with hardly any payment upfront. We’ve got no scouting network and the recruitment team is in constant upheaval. It’s not like we had £35 million to pay upfront for players and if we had we definitely wouldn’t have signed McNeil and Maupay. They’re the signings we’re going to make when operating in a position where you can’t compete in the market and options are so constrained. I don’t blame Lampard for that. I’m very angry at the board about it for sure.

They shouldn't have been bought full stop. We'd have been better off using academy lads.

Can we all just try to get along, please, and not squabble at the odd difference of opinion, or even a bit of a personal slight? Every thread I look in seems to have some mini war going on. We're making the Board look like a united and smoothly functioning outfit, compared to us. I know we all have strong feelings, and are highly ****ed (insert your own obscenity) off, but internal bickering ain't the way to go.

The people running Everton are killing the club mate. Don't you get it? They're killing us. It goes even beyond relegation. There won't be an Everton to support if these scum aren't forced out. We'll be finished. Absolutely finished. It's already going take decades at the very least to undo the damage they're inflicting on us. They are the problem, and the fact that Lampard is still here is just further proof of that. The next manager will be in this exact same position in eighteen mouths or less, maybe he does a little better (he couldn't do any worse) but nothing real can ever or will ever change with the vermin running the club.

How can an Evertonian continue to back a man thats sending us down after spending £90 millions in the summer?

On top of that he's a Tory who's political ideology has damaged our city for generations.

It astounds me the support he's receives.

If he once upon time had managed Liverpool or was over 50 he'll have been legged weeks ago by the fans.

This is now starting to do my head in.

We like Frank, he’s a likeable character, however this is now simply not working. To say, I felt like we were going to have another relegation battle this year, just won’t cut it for me.

It’s like an escape clause. If he knew we were going to be in this position then why did he spent 35m on Onana, Maupay, Mcneil…. These are not players who will scrap and get you out of a relegation battle.

After every defeat Frank says ‘we go back to the training ground now and we work on putting it right’. I can tell Frank on this forum what’s not right;

5 at the back, I didn’t work for Rafael and it isn’t working for him.
Coady is now starting to ship goals, he needs to be dropped.
Godfrey needs to be left back over Myko.
If Gordon isn’t going to play then get him sold as soon as possible so we can get some players in.
Stop sidewards and backwards passing. It’s great having 50% possession but we are still getting beat.
Challenge a player to cross the ball.
You cannot win games with 1 shot on target.
Tell Pickford it’s time to go long.
Change the tactics depending on how the game is going.

There it is. 8 wins in 44 is just not good enough. He needs to leave.
