Saying the players need help in the attacking third but he signed off on Maupay and McNeil for around £35m. The former deemed surplus to requirements by Brighton and the latter who scored about 1 goal in 2 seasons. These are the decisions which relegate teams.
Why is this still being peddled? They were £12m each and McNeil was £4m upfront

In fairness, the up front argument means very little other than for cashflow. The fee is what is guaranteed, not when we have to pay it. McNeil did not cost 4m, it was closer to 20m, regardless of when it's paid.

You don't buy a car on credit and tell people it only cost the amount of your deposit.

Inappropriate Behaviour
I never supported Benitez you little prick, people like you really piss me off, pretending to be one of us when you couldn’t even point to Liverpool on a map much less Goodison
One of us"??? I certainly don't support redshit like you and your dad, so it's normal that I'm not yours. Understand Zoro?

Lad I’m not gonna tell you again, I’m not a red, you most definitely are. And keep my late dad’s name out your damn mouth or we’re really going to have a problem, you got me?

Up front means a lot to ffp though doesn’t it where our yearly net is what’s important
My understanding was we had to keep our losses this year and last to a certain number which wouldn’t have been possible if we’d paid up front

Terrible signings but we couldn’t have signed a real £25m player in their place unfortunately

A good argument would be why not look for gems who legitimately only cost £5m and take a punt like Brighton and co. do rather than waste on players we know are average or poor in this league.

Maupay and McNeill have shown at Brighton and Burnley they can’t cut it in the PL prior to us signing them, so it was ludicrous to suggest they would here in a struggling team.
I’d rather we went for younger players from the championship than wasting money on this pair. It’s not being wise after the event, many voiced concerns when we were linked with them.

Problems? Are you a dangerous person? Hahaha. I hope you disappear like Lampard.

? Maupay scored 10 last season

It is incompetence throughout the club but ultimately it lays at the owners feet. Incompetent owner who publicly says its not his decision on the manager. The board and directors are incompetent, no plan and no direction. Manager is incompetent. He is weak and poor at man management and tactics.

Not sure who the next man for the job is and when (this is more on whoever makes this decisions but it would be nice know who that is). If and when that new man comes in, he has one hell of a task turning it around.

But you have to ask why we signed those players - same problem in the summer as we do now. Can only bring in players on loan or with hardly any payment upfront. We’ve got no scouting network and the recruitment team is in constant upheaval. It’s not like we had £35 million to pay upfront for players and if we had we definitely wouldn’t have signed McNeil and Maupay. They’re the signings we’re going to make when operating in a position where you can’t compete in the market and options are so constrained. I don’t blame Lampard for that. I’m very angry at the board about it for sure.

Its absolutely mental that some people are having a go at Lampard for not resigning. Like he's the bad guy for not just walking away from the big payoff that's coming his way when he inevitably does get sacked. Wake up people ffs. Nobody on here or anywhere else would just walk away from that. You'd have to be an idiot to even contemplate it. Yes its very obvious that Lampard isn't going to fix anything and is actually making things worse but lets have this right. He's not the real problem with this club. Not even close to it and him while him being sacked might give us a short term boost it really won't fix anything long term while the vermin running the club continue to pollute Goodison Park with their presence.
