When you look at what Villa did getting Emery in, I thought, blimey, thats a bit left field, especially after his Arsenal failings. But now he has 5 wins in 8 or something, and Villa had looked as bad us when he arrived. Villa’s owner has saved his club.
We could have had him years ago really good manager in Spain

What am I going to do with my life if Lampard is sacked and I don't have this thread to give out about him on?

I value success - unlike Lampard Benitez has won titles, domestic pots and a CL trophy.

I had no issue with those celebrating men like Carlo and Raffa being managers.

I can't abide seeing hero worship over failed or novice managers I just cant man.
Both of them were horrendous, Carlo got 59 points and his successors ripped up what he had done and any progress we had made because of their massive egos, Benitez would never want to win with "Carlo's team" and Lampard was just happy to have gotten a Premier League job I'm sure he never thought he'd be qualified for.

We need an established tactician to help grind out results for us, once we are established we can have someone to implement the attractive football. It's a shame we can't just do what Arsenal did and give an idealist but brilliant manager like Arteta time but we are in too much trouble. Dyche doesn't inspire me much but he can probably do well enough, but there are plenty of top managers in Spain, Italy, France, Portugal and elsewhere we should be ringing up.

Every manager gets backed is as simple as that, have the fans backed him more than benitez yes ofc because of his ex rs past. Plus we have tried give lanpard time as fed up sacking managers, dont tthink he has ever been hero worshiped here becuase hasnt done anything to get that alot of the fan base wanted gim gone before the wc, i wanted him gone after boxing day. Whoever gets the job next we all have to back them to do the best job they can for the club no matter what hstory of success.

Wasn't that the plan with Gravytrain?

Sadly the only good manager (who was both the above-mentioned things) we have had in the last several iterations left to win things with Real Madrid and we can't look further away than 50 miles from Goodison for reasons unknown so can't be having them forens.

I'd much prefer a more progressive manager but they have left it that long that with the hole we are in we need a fighter who is a strong personality who can make us hard to beat and go more direct that's Dyche probably.
