Club is absolutely on its arse. I wish we had a squad and an infrastructure in place that would have allowed Lampard to learn his trade but as always here, as soon as results start going against us it snowballs into a full blown catastrophe. It happened to Martinez, it happened to Koeman, it happened to Silva, it happened to Benitez, it's now happened to Lampard. It undoubtedly would have happened to Ancelotti too if he didn't get out when he did . Yes, some of those managers were indeed pups, but all of them?
Under this ownership and this hierarchy, there is just nothing to this club at all. When things start slipping for a Manager here, you can start writing their obituary. There is nobody coming to save them, whether that's talent coming through the youth system, whether it's a player brought in etc. Everything at this club is rank amateur so it doesn't matter who replaces Lampard because under these circumstances there's no chance they'll succeed.
