Classy as always Ev

4hrs 15 minutes later
Nobody at Finch Farm knew he'd been sacked until media started asking.

It just sums it up.

Anyway, it's a real shame. Really liked the bloke, but it was also proof that 'young and progressive', young and hungry, 'gets the club' etc. All just buzz words. They mean nothing if you aren't good enough.

Same goes for players. Same goes for directors.

Feel for Frank because he genuinely seemed to like the club and get the fans but he probably should have gone before the World Cup after the Bournemouth games and the Brighton pasting should definitely have been lights out for him. Bear him no ill will, we were just too big of a basket case club for him. He looked ill and drained by the end. Would love to hear him come out and speak honestly about his time with us and what has been going on in the background all this time.

A relegation battle of his own making which absolutely wasn't.

Again, Ronay - who is a brilliant writer but actually has an annoying habit of speaking in exactly the way he writes - fails to grasp the full point even though he claims he has done.
Which battle was that?

Last season he took us into the depths before taking us back out of it to the position he found himself in when he was hired. So, I think the evidence shows quite clearly that he most certainly contributed to the hysteria of last season.

Good Lord. Talk about advertising one's ignorance.
Whereas thinking that Lampard only wanted to sign players that Everton had coincidentally been trying to sign for year makes you a real intellect.

Lampard wasn’t backed. He had crap players bought for him and certainly wasn’t allowed to build a squad that might actually suit him.

I’m sure when the same happens to the next manager it will be there fault too.

We were in absolute freefall when he joined, just like we are now.

It's like saying whatever manager inherits this mess is fully to blame if we don't get out of it before May.

We had 19 points from 20 games last year. We have 15 points from the same amount this year.
