I think we are playing better than last season and the results will follow. Iwobi and Obama are going to be unplayable. 2 more strikers please.

There was no game changer on the bench only someone to mess it up and come away with nothing.
Exactly this. We seen in the last game that he had to make subs and it ended up killing us. Clear sign that at the minute he can’t trust a player on that bench outside of probably Coleman and Vinagre.

On the bright side though it seems like we’re aiming to add 3 players before the end of the window, along with eventually having Godfrey, Mina, Doucoure and Calvert Lewin back in the squad at some point this season. Currently the players available to him off the bench aren’t very good but it’s good to know that he can see that too.

Hard to predict where the first win will come but I think Lampard with the squad of players that he can actually trust are more likely to get the “upset” wins and draws even.

Poor start to the season points wise but given the players he has available to him I wouldn’t hold a whole pile against him, especially if he starts to get us winning and playing better once he has a proper squad to choose from.

until we get players back from injury and new signing (s) registered and playing, a few draws isn't bad, we aren't losing, but picking up points with no striker. Games will be different dynamically when we have a striker on the pitch. A win at this time of the season shoots you up a few places. Need is a tricky place to go and the last two games showed resilience and fight. Not the time to panic yet.

it's not necessarily players we need to add, it's a tactical/mental-philosophy we need to develop.

title-winning Leicester proved this, and to a lesser extent West Ham last season.

Pro footballers are capable of scoring goals, if managed right. We are very far from being managed right.

I know many of yous have faith Frank and his coaches' efforts are improving, but i'm just not seeing it yet.
We need additions mate as the squad is very threadbare..

I don’t believe ManCity could carry Davies or Rondon if they were part of their first team...

The team require goals to win games and new signings won’t necessarily guarantee them...

Without them it’s extremely likely we will succumb to years of mis spend /management...

You could argue that the team developed mentally be staying in the PL last season...

We had 5 players on the pitch against Leeds who have played 2 or 3 games together...

Whilst 2 of them are seasoned pros , Patterson and Onana are showing positive signs...

As well as the above Gordon has a couple to his name so he must be being managed correctly?

Just out of interest if Rondon was being managed correctly do you believe he’d be scoring goals?

You’re obviously not an FL fan and I’m not saying I am but when would you end his tenure and who would you replace him with?

yes...i believe almost any top-class (i.e. top division) footballer has the potential to be part of even a title-winning team.

Leicester is the ultimate example.

I like the fella, he was a class footballer. i appreciate his obvious passion for us, and he's really trying his best...

...but not beating a handful of bottom-third teams while appearing to struggle with on-pitch strategy (no timely subs etc) is a bad omen. And that directly after a relegation-battle.

33%-win percentage puts him on par with Benitez & Walter Smith, and below Allardyce (38%).

His absolute minimum objective is to keep us a few points above the relegation zone by the time the World Cup starts. This requires a few wins.

If he can't do that, and his teams are not showing clear signs of turning a corner, then we have to consider replacing him, as the alternative would appear to be another relegation fight.

With whom, we'll have to cross that bridge when we get to it. The Prem is an exciting prospect for coaching talent all over the world...but by choosing Benitez & Lampard i get the feeling those in charge didn't look very hard at who else might be out there.

The switch to 4-3-3 gives me great hope. He isn't stubborn.

Once he has a proper squad and a striker, I can see us improving.

This season is stabilise, try and confirm our status as soon as we can and then head into next season financially stable and with some consistent direction and voice throughout the club.

We can't stop the rot, if we keep changing our philosophy every 3 months. He and Kev have to be backed and for what it is worth, I love the direction.

We have a core 26 and younger group of DCL, Iwobi, Patterson, Mykolenko, Gray, Gordon, Onana, McNeil, Godfrey and academy players like Warrington, Simms, Dobbin, Branthwaite all showing promise.

Take a deep breathe, we will be ok.

With Liverpool on the weekend, surely he had to use some subs, so the players don't burn out or get injured later in the season. Strange how Allan was named amongst reserves and hasn't played a single minute. I don't want the narrative Allan is not good enough because he is miles better than Davies.

Would have done Vinagre for Myko who was not that good. Maybe Allan for Davies but he’s clearly in the doghouse and I’m not going to second guess that.

Would have had Warrington in the squad. He’s impressed in his limited time on the pitch and could have come in for Davies, maybe.

Another statement made by the boss. Don't use your words Frank use bad results. We can take it.

….agree with @AussieToffee11, the post-match interview was revealing regarding systems and Lampard isn’t stubbornly fixed to one formation.

i think he’s particularly open to using 3 central midfielders. I don’t recall a single substitution last night which shows a lack,of depth but also Lampard backing the team he selected, I wonder when that last happened.

I was critical of him last season but certainly more encouraged by what I see and hear. The players are certainly playing for him and we have a chance.

Allan was already very slow and has been out for quite some time, he might just be very unfit.

A mobile grafting striker who spins and runs would do wonders for how i am seeing the team play.
Thing is. I dont think thats calvert lewin.
