Fair question, we haven't been rewarded with the points yet. But we are much better than last year. That's almost a new back 4 and is a totally different midfield. Everything about it looks better.

and we will get goals from midfield more than we have in recent seasons. Once we have a focus up front (DCL) who can hold the ball, we have some very good midfielders now, Onana, Iwobi, Gordon, Gray who can get into the mix. We will be quite a dynamic team later this season.

The defence and midfield needed major surgery after last season. That was the priority.

Tarkowski, Coady, Onana, all look like good signings already. Patterson and Mykolenko also. Gueye I’ve got no doubt will be great. How many windows have we had where we can say the players have all been hits?

Even McNeill is getting better every game. Maupay looked sharp today and linked play well.
