I think it's hard to say he was ever wrong when sacking managers. You could definitely make a case that he was wrong to sack Allardyce - his results were perfectly acceptable - but other than that the worst you could say was he was too slow to bullet the others. No, his issue has been in appointing managers.
Allardyce completely alienated the fan base, I found it so difficult to get off my arse and watch and I know other season ticket holders who give up and stopped going. How we stayed up that season is beyond me. I was in work for his last home game against Southampton and I couldn’t be bothered booking a holiday for the lap of dishonour. He would have caused more problems had he kept the job.

The only appointments he got right, in my view, were Allardyce and Ancelotti - and both of those were flawed. Big Sam was appointed to ensure safety. He did that, but he was never a sustainable appointment. He was a last resort. He probably knew he'd sack him after he did what he was hired to do, and he probably knew Sam wouldn't come for the pleasure of being sacked after 8 months, so it was what it was in the end. He paid the compo.

Carlo was a stardust appointment of an owner who lived up to the club's motto. Only the best. But having snared such a top rank coach, the shame is he didn't move heaven and Earth to keep him. Perhaps he couldn't. Perhaps the lure of Madrid was always too much. But my sense is that Carlo was actively looking for a way out at that point. After all, he seemed to initiate contact with Madrid over a departure...

The appointments of Koeman and Silva were transparently doomed from the start. I would argue that the same applies to Frank. Hopefully I'll be wrong on that, but I doubt it. The Benitez appointment was brazen and, whatever the logic of appointing a proven manager with a serious track record, he really didn't read the room. Everton is a very difficult club to run. He didn't help himself there, despite his best intentions.
I honestly think you’re wrong about Frank. I think now when are steering away from this 5 at the back I think things will get better. However it is still the scoring of the goals that conflicts. I wish we would of pulled all the stops for Lukaku back to be honest.

Allardyce? You are joking of course. Anti football turned the crowd against him. Not right for Everton and never was or will be. Rather go down trying to play correctly than playing Allardyce footy.

Fat Sam's biggest issue was that he showed he was literally incapable of changing. He "got us" to safety with like 5 games to go and he had the opportunity to show he wasn't the world's most negative manager. He didn't change a thing. It's like Tony Pulis being asked to change. They do what they do pretty darn well but, asking them to change? Nope.

Nonsense, a guy like him does not fit into being an evertonian. He was dishonest, disgusting and an utter dinosaur. Possibly a worse appointment than Rafael.

His results say otherwize. Feelings aside, its hard to argue against Drico on this. Sam did what he was hired to do and he did it well. Based on job description and reaults, he did a very good job.

22nd May 2022 - 1st October 2022

League Results: -

Arsenal 5 Everton 1
Everton 0 Chelsea 1
Aston Villa 2 Everton 1
Everton 1 Nottingham Forest 1
Brentford 1 Everton 1
Leeds 1 Everton 1
Everton 0 Liverpool 0

7 games - 0 wins

the pressure is on

Southampton away next followed by Man Utd, Spurs and Newcastle

if we can't beat Swiss Klopp then we are in trouble

Might be worth waiting for a longer sample, like 38 games, see where we are then

I’ve said before I’m concerned by our form, however of late I’ve been more comfortable with the performances, hopefully the draws can be turned into wins. That said I do think the Mosh will be getting nervous if those wins don’t come sooner rather than later.
Also with Tuchel available (not that I’d think he would come) Mosh might start thinking about alternatives soon.

Moshiri is not even that interested anymore. If a serious buyer came along first thing Monday morning he would sell there and then imo. He spent the last day of the transfer window out having lunch in London and was nowhere near the club. Once the stadium is built, the club will be up for sale within a matter of weeks imo.

So unbeaten in four, showing fight, playing the new midfield, which looks epically better than last year.. i expect time will be given to allow this to fully gel. I also expect us to slowly pull away. Our biggest issue will be creating, and converting goal chances
