….over the years I’ve regularly mentioned ‘partnerships & blend’. Tarkowski/Coady and Gueye/Onana seem to have very quickly established themselves as integral parts of the team, it’s an indication of a transfer strategy.

I think the job Frank has done has been brilliant. I truly believe that as long as he is backed in transfer windows still that we will have a squad capable of challenging for Europe when moving into the new stadium.
Signings like onana are so beneficial for the long term. I still think we lack slightly in some areas and this season will be a struggle in midtable at best but we don't look miles away and we certainly look good enough to be clear of relegation danger. There are at least 6 or 7 teams worse than us now.

He seems to have got the togetherness within the squad to be to a really high level. Motivation is high. The have confidence in themselves. He has worked wonders with some of the players to raise their levels.

That still doesn't suggest I "wanted" us to go down its more an acceptance of football outside the big 6.
Every club has skirts with relegation at some stage thats part of football, to argue against that means you want a system in place that the ESL scab clubs are pushing for where the same few clubs dominate and fans think finishing 4th is akin to winning a trophy.

We can’t let all this good work by Frank and his coaching team be undone by our inability to keep players fit.
Get the injured players back (except Godfrey who is long term) and let Lampard have a clear run at the rest of the season without having to rely on players who have failed every manager they’ve had for 5 years.
