Forward players were crap. What can a manager do with that feeble front line.

We are exactly what a team aiming for 15th to 10th should look like. It’s nothing surprising. And it is only a problem to people who either are stupidly impatient and don’t want to wait to see if we can improve over time OR just want to sack another manager because they don’t like them OR are WUMs blues and reds….

Moving into those lower mid table positions should be the easiest transition to make. In one way Lampard has got the easiest job in the league because expectations are so low and the squad should be able to achieve that target.

Big few weeks coming up before the World Cup with decent fixtures to define where we're going to be this season.

That’s it really; you have decent attacking options on the pitch and that team will look half decent

It absolutely does not get you a top striker or a proper Richarlison replacement

Sadio Mane cost £30m who is 40000x the player Richarlison will ever be. No of course I’m not saying we should’ve signed Sadio Mane, but people seriously need to stop with the “£80m gets you a Harry Maguire these days lad” crap. Our appalling scouting and recruitment team is the reason we pay £30m+ for terrible players.

We're at the start of our journey, Lampard has addressed the main issues from last season, our defense is what will keep us in the league.

He's added legs to the midfield, with Gana and Gueye, he's also secured with Garner and Onana the future.

He needs a few windows before being judged, like any manager.

Positives, even in defeat.

I mean we don't have Mick Keggar volleying them past Pickford.. and that in itself is very reassuring.

Mentioned it after the Man U game. The front 3 are simply bench/squad players. Was thinking today imagine if we had a fit DCL and Richie in our front 3 with the midfield and defence we have now, we would be a totally different team definitely top half of the table. But unfortunately we haven’t and we knew this in the summer. So should of brought a direct replacement for Richie, hell we probably knew all last season Richie was off. And we DCL could not be trusted to stay fit. Maupay okay i understand but we needing a goal scoring winger. That’s we fall short in this team.

He must be mightily frustrated that individual errors have cost us in the last 2 games. Brought in players who have made us structurally and organisation wise so much more solid, only to be let down by basic errors. Not a lot he can do about that.

True. I mean the game might still have played out with them getting a goal from very little as they have such quality up top, but it’s not unrealistic to say without the error we may have been able to close out a 0-0 with an outside chance of getting another good opportunity and taking it
