2022/23 Frank Lampard

He's got until the world cup to keep his job IMO.

Should it be that way? No. Then again, he sleepwalked into the season thinking he could coach rubbish attackers to get us goals and not buy one in to replace Richarlison, so sympathy is in short supply right now.

I hope we get a couple of quick wins to get us to the transfer window so he can save us and his own job. But if we dont get those couple of wins Moshiri will pull the trigger for sure.
The World Cup break was always key. This is the period that a panicked Moshiri could act. At this point, though, I think it largely academic whether he stays or goes. Lampard's always been the popular human shield of the board, designed to deflect any real scrutiny from their direction. Moshiri will hold on to him for as long as he serves a purpose. But if we are bottom three come the World Cup, anything could happen if Moshiri thinks his precious Premier League status is jeopardised. We're basically screwed under this ownership.

Moshiri needs to put his hand in his pocket and buy him some forwards.

He’ll turn it around for God’s sake, honestly it’s like some of you love being on an endless merry go round of changing managers
Let’s be clear here, it’s definitely not a ‘for god’s sake’ situation. We don’t have to panic, we don’t need to say he should be sacked, but it’s frankly pretty stupid to just roll your eyes and say everything’s fine. We’ve been going at around a point a game for 10 months under a manager who has no real track record of success for us to trust in. We can back lampard, and I genuinely hope we do because I feel like another managerial change would be a nightmare, but it’s a leap of faith rather than the obvious path.

the keeper rolls the ball out to our right back and the move is already over, we have two championship level wingers ahead of him who cost us 1.5 mill combined. We have a DM who cost us buttons in front of him who will probably lose the ball under pressure or pass it straight back. We might have a kid that couldn’t get in the United team also. Then we’re hoping that our tall defensive midfielder might be able to make something happen upfront to support either our 2.5 million pound striker from Sheffield United, our 12 mill pound striker from Brighton, or our free transfer from Dalian Pro.

He’s spent £200m, massive discrepancy to what you’re posting

Well it's close to 250m, without losing any key players. It's a substantial sum. When Lampard spend that in a calendar year, I suppose we can make an apples to apples comparison.

Note, Howe has done a good job. Theres no denying that.

He took over from the relative stability of Bruce, not the case of Benitez though.

He could. But last summer we didnt sell any key players.
Benitez lost Sigurdsson without kicking a ball. He banished and sold off our best player: James. Why? Partly because he hated his attitude - partly because we needed the money from his outsized salary. We've been losing key players for a while. The Everton job has been a poisoned chalice since midway through the sainted Carlo's tenure when he was reduced to signing that useless chancer whose name escapes me on loan in the January window.

Moshiri will be on manoeuvres for a new manager right now.
