I don’t know why people fret so much. If relegation starts looking likely Moshiri will pull the trigger as he always has done so you’ll get your wish for another spin of the managerial wheel. Any other scenario other than that though and we have to give a manager time to let him build. Lampard just needs to show he can stop the rot and get a few wins and he’ll buy himself a load of time. Previous Everton managers couldn’t stop a death spiral though because the players actually wanted it as well and downed tools. I’m hoping this lot are made of a bit better stuff and will stay behind the manager.

Just checked. Gerrard is on his last legs at Villa and he’s just a point behind Lampard’s Everton. I guess he gets a free pass because he's English or we just accept that we're [Poor language removed].

Based on a lot of the games so far, the squad and manager are together, even those that have been here under others

That’s because messrs Keane Kenny Siggurdson Gomes Davies Doucoure are nowhere near the starting 11 any more. We still need to get Patterson back fit as soon as possible to keep Coleman out the team but I’m more confident that some of this group of players won’t just down tools. There’s a few like Gray and Gordon that I’m not convinced on when the going gets tough and Iwobi still hasn’t done enough for me to just stop forgetting the years of dross he’s served up.

Relative to what? This is the type of form that successive teams under successive managers have shown.

Changing managers is not the answer. Buying better players is and keeping them fit.

I hate this rhetoric. Changing awful manager for awful manager is not the answer. Changing an awful manager for competent one is the Right answer
