I’ll never forget the 3-2 versus Palace last season for many reasons but that game today was an infinitely better performance and it’s remarkable how far we’ve come in five months with one window

We’ve got a long way to go to be challenging for top 6 which I think is where we all expect our club to be but with that said I also don’t see a ceiling with Frank and Thelwell given what was achieved in one window

He generally wins the home games that need to be won and has done since he pitched up bar the odd disappointment like Brentford that was more self inflicted.

Showed today aswell team can win in style rather than just eeking out 1-0 grinds all the time which is important moving forward.

Hopefully as season goes on that can translate to away results as that will seriously stop team challenging for top 10.

Certainly a 7/10 so far.

Delighted with today, hopefully proved some of the doubters wrong. We had played three games against three teams who are higher than us in the league, teams who are fighting for European spots. Against United we scored first, against Spurs we had two glorious chances and then gifted them a pen, Newcastle beat us 1-0 due to the only real chance they had.

Today was exactly what we needed. Not a 1-0 holding out but an emphatic victory. We had shots on target, crazy when you shoot. Was saying to my mate before the game ‘when are we going to have a shot like Spurs against us, where the keeper spills it’. Lo and behold, boom, Myko spills to Gordon, about time.

COYB!
