Yeah if it isn't clear I really do mean that as a compliment to Frank. He emphasized attacking down the left so that we wouldn't expose ourselves to a Zaha counter.

Coleman was man marking him it seemed.

At one point zaha dropped back to his LB to get the ball and Coleman was right up his hoop. Then zaha moved in field towards the center circle and Coleman followed him.

Tbf when he realised where he was Coleman legged it back to RB position

That's right.

I never really bought into the idea that Palace are this team that are way ahead of us. Indeed we are currently above them, and they looked decidedly average to me. We arent great but honestly neither are about 10 or so teams in this league, and we have to expect to beat them at home.

The culture is a big thing Lampard has got right here. I think we have a group that tries it's best to win most weeks, but is a bit limited. At other times his game management let's us down, but theres no doubt the culture is better.

Its sort of the opposite of Ancelotti really, where we had a lot of talented players who were very well set up tactically, but who would go missing at different times.
 

Needs to put right the massive error of the summer when we reach January. I suspect he knows that if he does correct that error, we'll be a settled midtable team this season.

He has them all buying in to what he's trying to do here. That's easy to observe.

Club already tried with Kudus. Maybe still get him over the line. Creativity will be bought.

The plan is there, it’s not linear but how could it be from the debacle of last season.

Ceativity, yes. But we need a forward who can get us 8-10 in the second half of the season.

Today was a one off. It all came good.
