I agree, we need better. I don't think maupay was ever signed to be playing as much as he has had to though. He was a back up forward. Unfortunately Dominic Calvert-Lewin isn't cutting it and the wingers aren't providing and are pretty dreadful. Gordon has been a massive flop after all the hype. Im hoping that FFP should start to be a bit better for us and we can go out in January and actually start to spend a bit more money again to fix it.
We didnt need a back up forward. We need another goalscorer who could improve the first 11.

This is what worries me a bit with Frank, there was an article only last week that was suggesting our January would depend on what the state of play was in regards to Dom. I just find it difficult to believe we would have gone into the season throwing all our eggs in one basket like that, it's incredibly naive and not what you expect at this level of the game.

Being done with Everton and stopping supporting them are not the same thing.

Also yeah I don’t really like Eddie Howe, I stand by the comment I made, he bends over every single time for the kopites and he’s probably readying a 50 million pound bid for Curtis Jones as we speak.

He’s had a few good months at Newcastle but it all went sour for him at Bournemouth by the end and he was rubbish at Burnley.

The Newcastle squad was never that bad a squad quality wise and they’ve added very good players. He’d have to be completely hopeless to fail there when the owners have bought you a watertight ready made back 5, added one of Brazil’s best midfielders, and you’ve got an array of 30 million pound striking options to pick from.

He’s doing better than i thought he would at the moment but I still don’t think he’d be good for Everton. Some of this lot can’t pass a ball accurately over five yards. Implementing a passing style is very different when you have Guimaraes running it than when you have Gueye, carthorse Doucoure and Seamus Coleman trampolining it off their shins.

He took over a team in November that hadn't won a game.

So being done with something doesn't mean its over? A rather strange comment to make.

" Ey love, I'm done with our relationship but we can stay married "

Imagine if Arsenal had listened to the hysteria with Arteta.

Not suggesting in any way that Lampard can turn it around to that extent but sometimes a level head is needed when deciding on a managers future.

The Bournemouth game is a big one for him though and then the 4 or 5 games after the World Cup.

Who would we get if we did get rid of frank?. Would they improve the attacking output of the team while still trying to keep it tight at the back. I know frank is young and learning, he will make odd decisions and mistakes. For me I believe with better attacking options we would be higher in the table. So question is lose next week do we sack him and get someone in who has 6 weeks and a basically a pre season to get his ideas across. Or do get 1-2 players in January and see if we can push on?.

We aren't on the same level as Arsenal, or even close, but I see a lot of parallels between Arteta and Lampard.

I wanted Arteta when Silva left. I see Lampard as the closest option, and that's why I think he's the right person at the right time, and what to give him lots and lots of time.

Arteta has the benefit of learning from Guardiola but imagine Arteta had inherited the squad Lampard did. I reckon he'd be struggling just the same.

Of course. The quality of the players is very different, but I think Arteta/Lampard is the right type of coach for us at this time because we need an extremely long term approach to get out of the spiral of short termism.

I've looked up the league table and noticed we're -3 gd, with the teams below us anywhere from -12 to -20. I'm 99% confident we're not in a relegation battle even if we stay 16th the whole season.

Obviously where we are in the table is troubling, but this season was always about consolidation and staying up whilst we use more windows to strengthen

Win against Bournemouth and we won't look so precarious. Then he gets some time with them during the World Cup to work on things and then a January window to potentially strengthen in some key areas

I think the only scenario where I'd be sacking him right now would be if we were in real danger of relegation and there was someone out there who I felt could be the difference maker in keeping us up

Aside from that, I'm willing to give him more time

That's already a good indication of who is going to be in a relegation battle so those 4 below us all will be. That's not to say we can't get dragged in to it but I think those teams will be in bigger trouble than us. If we can beat Bournemouth then even more so.

The only thing similar about Arteta and Lampard is they're both former players and young.
