2022/23 Frank Lampard

So in a nutshell, Frank is blaming the non regular players (that he himself picked) for not taking their opportunity (which of course they didn't and never have because they are not good enough) and the regular players needed to be rested because the only thing that matters now is staying the premier league. It has been really tough and tiring winning all 3 of them games out of the last 14.

Hearing an Everton Manager talking this kind of bollox and writing the entire season off the first week in November is absolutely disgraceful. Close to the end of my tether with him now tbh.

It’s facts tho mate. His points per game is worse than Gerrards was for Villa.

We have a section of the fanbase who won’t give up the ghost because:

A) he replaced Benitez who they hated

And

B) he was the alternative to Vitor Periera who nobody wanted
It's also not what was discussed and is a massive deflection, so hats off, learning well from Dav-Eck.

A) You really thought Benitez was the right man for the job? The fans were wrong?! For real?!

B) Nobody wanted more crap corrupt connections, shocker. He's also not that great a manager himself, hasn't managed in a PrOpEr LeAgUe (as everyone craps their pants about that as a quality, right?) and managed to be 3rd in a 2 horse race, while the fans of his own team hated him, before getting sacked and coming to the easy money option - Everton.

Can we not have a manager last more than 6 months before we turn into the Watford clown fiesta or is it possibly too much to ask as we haven't put out a team to win the... Carabao Cup early rounds?

We should care and focus on the league and the fact we were close to getting relegated with this same team that played/started tonight. That's why they're not playing, that's why we can't sell them to anyone - no one wants them.

Before anyone starts again with the 94/95 comparisons - we were out of the league cup in the earliest possible opportunity then, making it even worse technically. We won the FA cup. 0 chill, then the same old farts say ThE YoUtH Of ToDaY HaVe No PaTiEncE.

Good night and hopefully your beds will not be wet by the morning, even if it seems like that's impossible right now. x

But Gerrard inherited a team that had finished 11th, and spent about 200m and then blammed a load more money this summer. So expectations were understandably a bit different.

Crap, we out of the FA Cup too?! Sake, what a night eh.

Do you not comprehend why that might be?

Clue: Think about what he walked into last season.

How's he written the entire season off then?

Probably also because the fans wanted him so FL failing would mean they have to admit they got it wrong. The board was all for appointing VP until the protests etc then they went with who the fans were calling for seemingly. Not saying I want FL gone, I don't, I'd rather he got it right as he's a good team around him and seems to genuinely care about the club but the fact is this team is underachieving and again we're looking down the table with trepidation
