A feeling of great deja vu washes over me.

Let’s repeat the same chase the manager out dance we do every year because, as the 7 predecessors have demonstrated perfectly, Everton cannot be fixed in a year. Maybe even two.

It’s similar to what’s happened in western politics in the past decade. We’ve empowered the fascist populists by platforming them, when they need to be CRUSHED like a cockroach.

Do your duty, good people of GOT. CRUSH the floppies.

This is true!. All these managers seem to have been possessed by the rogue spirit of mediocrity. I had hopes that St Frank would repel this until I heard he’d been enticed by Bill to a showing of blood brothers. Sadly, Billelzebub has worked his tragic on Franks poor soul.

One of the many problems with Martinez was his inability to get the players anywhere near fit. He hasn't had to bother with that aspect while with Belgium.
Never go back.
Fitness and defence was his weakness and think international football suits his style of management, players come to him ready and has little time to influence or not at all in his case.

Funny reading supporters say ‘we can’t keep changing managers’ as a reason to stick with frank.

That reasons not going to keep us in the premier league is it?

His results are atrocious. What do we do keep persisting with 3 wins in 14 trends because we can’t change again?

At this rate we’re going down. We’re not improving, can’t score and are getting hammered with shots.

They would have to agree, no doubt on that.

Some of your earlier stuff about Martinez spending 160 million is way off, he never spent close to that.

Also, has quite a few people keep mentioning when defending Lampard, what was the net spend??? We sold the likes of Felli for decent money which paid for his first summer splash.

There was money in football then, but unfortunately Everton were proper paupers then who would take loans out against future tv revenue money with spurious companies based in the Cayman Islands.

Moyes had exactly the same problems and outperformed Martinez by a distance.

Thing is we have gone through too many, but at the time they went it was always the logical time, apart from Sam.

If we lose on Saturday it makes a lot of sense to change, but what would be crazy is giving him until the end of January

It's the same argument that was being used to avoid sacking Benitez last year. We then beat Arsenal and people were like "See, we need to stick with Benitez".

If you want the deadwood gone like Keane, Holgate, Mina, Davies, even Doucoure... It won't happen until a manager has been here long enough to have personally shown them all the door.

Every manager sacked is another chance for a few players to fool a new manager into thinking they're decent

The circumstances surrounding us when Lampard came in last month put the clear out on pause somewhat.

I think at least 2 players played their last game for Everton on Tuesday.

It’s what this place does. It’s an obsession. Carlo Ancelotti probably one of, if not the, greatest manager of all time had us 2nd at Boxing Day and fighting for top 4 going into the run in, whilst ending the Anfield hoodoo.

Not that you’d have known it on here at the time. The geniuses on GOT surmised that he didn’t know how to put on a training session, that he was tactically a dinosaur, he didn’t know anything about player fitness or conditioning, he couldn’t coach or improve players who weren’t top players. They boiled his whole career down to just having collections of world class stars and telling them ‘go and play lads’. Apparently he was good ages ago but showed at Bayern and Napoli that he was utterly spent.

He then goes and wins the league and his fourth CL trophy with Real Madrid straight after.

The same people who somehow still defend Michael Keane and Tom Davies have called for the head of multiple Everton managers. No pressure on the ownership, no questions around the support departments at Everton, no acceptance of mitigating circumstances (transfer expenditure, injuries etc.)

No it’s just ‘play 433 and win every game or gtfo the club you useless dinosaur’ - rinse and repeat for every manager of the Moshiri era.

This forum is obsessed with managerial changes, obsessed with it, even if Lampard wins some games and pulls us into mid table they’ll never rest, one bad result and they’re straight back to looking for the next shiny ball.

Bielsa, Hasenhuttl, Nuno, Wagner, Wilder, Lage all flavours of the month we absolutely should have gone for according to the wisdom of GOT. Now it’s Howe and Potter (although he lost a game recently so maybe not him now)

I’m just waiting for Marco Silva to win a few so we can go full circle with people wanting him back.

Just stop whining you utter crybabies and give Frank a chance to turn it around.

Bravo sir.

* you missed out, some of the very obvious kopite wums, who only ever post utter bile after a defeat.
