If you want to keep blaming the manager and think he should be sacked rather than given time and support then you really deserve the Everton we have and we are just an afterthought. Lampard didn't stand a chance without an attack , his main goal source sold and not replaced , severe ffp restrictions , a squad good enough for relegation and a winger who now is overinflated in expectations due to external factors.

Until we have goals and creativity then the team will struggle to have footholds in games where the ball needs to be down the other end. It is hard to win games when you can't beat a man, create chances and score goals or be able to move the ball to assert pressure which is something none of our attack can do. The blame is not with lampard until he has a team and right now he has half a team with very little chance of building on in time.

Come on - remember the negativity around Benitez - so this is more continual negativity since then?

He kept the club up and made some good summer signings

But why support Everton if being continually negative about the club? Would it be better to do other things that create a positive feeling if not cut out for the ups and downs of following a football club?

We should ideally have got a better forward or two in. They didn't nail that aspect. But they did nail defence and did well in midfield. Fans were generally positive at the time. Can we expect absolute perfection in one window - a semi-overhaul that nails every position?
If we’re going to buy players in those positions then I’d expect a more competent and less panic stricken transfer strategy, yeah. The midfield wasn’t bad recruitment other than them overlooking that you need people who can actually pass a ball forwards in midfield which neither Onana nor Gueye can do. The forward recruitment was absolutely stupid, especially given we lost a 50m Brazil first team attacker who scored the lions share of our goals last season.

He barely kept us up because he couldn't win matches. There is no good run to be found.

I'm being negative because we've been bad for literally over a year straight. Good performances have been basically all one offs. It is just what it is.
They somehow did what it took to stay up and had some big wins towards the end - performing above the normal level

He has an overhaul on his hands - but won't do it overnight / in one window

Am in danger of repeating myself too many times so won't say this again but surely continually sacking managers at the first bad run isn't a recipe for success

The fans should assist that by showing some patience and resilience

Wheres that from mate

I so badly want Frank to succeed here, but it's not looking good right now, he's left himself very vulnerable to getting sacked after this result.

I still say let him get some players in January, but i have a feeling that Moshiri is going to pull the trigger now.
Exactly the same.

I like him, in an ideal world and all that, but this is cut throat results only matter....

I mean I guess it is his first bad run since it started day one and hasn't ended yet.
