2022/23 Frank Lampard

Just said in the other thread that I didnt have any concern over relegation last season just felt there were 3 worse teams than us.

This season feels different - Wolves and Villa will improve with both having appointed solid managers and WHU will get better under Moist.

We're in trouble if we stick with Lampard imo - 3 wins in last 16 league games is terrible.

Come on - remember the negativity around Benitez - so this is more continual negativity since then?

He kept the club up and made some good summer signings

But why support Everton is being continually negative about the club? Would it be better to do other things that create a positive feeling if not cut out for the ups and downs of following a football club?
He barely kept us up because he couldn't win matches. There is no good run to be found.

I'm being negative because we've been bad for literally over a year straight. Good performances have been basically all one offs. It is just what it is.

Should be getting more from this set of players. We are getting outplayed in the midfield but he keeps persisting with gana and onana. We need someone who can use the ball better.
I am a bit concerned with our performances I won't lie but what do you do, there seems to be the regression back to a bunch of fannies again. Not easy being a blue ??

If that’s the case our entire scouting network should be fired on the spot. There is absolutely no shot that there weren’t massively better options around Europe or South America for a compatible, if not cheaper price.
We should ideally have got a better forward or two in. They didn't nail that aspect. But they did nail defence and did well in midfield. Fans were generally positive at the time. Can we expect absolute perfection in one window - a semi-overhaul that nails every position?

Our attacking options are rubbish but so are Bournemouth’s, and yet they’ve managed to score as many goals against us this week as we’ve managed in our last ten games. It’s an issue obviously, but it can’t be used as an excuse for just being completely incapable of causing teams any problems in every single game we play.

You willing to gamble the whole future of the club on it?
Moshiri has been doing that since day one, his scattergun approach to manager appointments and player recruitment is totally responsible for where we are, at some point he has to stick to a plan.

Sadly I doubt he will.

He will brandish his sword and it will be us, the fans, who have to suffer the consequences of his inadequacy.

This is likely to be the end for Frank.

What now though?

Pretty sure we will be in this situation with whoever is next.

Another very sad day for EFC ☹️
I so badly want Frank to succeed here, but it's not looking good right now, he's left himself very vulnerable to getting sacked after this result.

I still say let him get some players in January, but i have a feeling that Moshiri is going to pull the trigger now.

This is a myth, WE kept us up!
