Did he really say that? How often have players for us not been ‘setting standards’ and ‘taking pride’ in performances?

Ancelotti called a core out, I’ve lost amount the times Coleman had said it. Some of them have been here a while but now we are supposed to have leaders like coady/tarkowski/gueye so what’s the issue?

The sad reality is we are a club that have had multiple failures in the transfer market, multiple players on big fees and big wages that haven’t performed. Chanced on players like delle Alli to save us from relegation with no credible plans or philosophies in place. Got progressively a softer touch and a breeding ground for players who go through the motions.

And he'd be right. Frank won everything as a player, his standards are 10x anyone's in that dressing room - at least CC is one of very few you can count on not to hide and call it as it is. Kudos to him. Wouldn't surprise me if half the lads were on their phones right now booking winter holidays.
