We seemed to drop off in intensity and pressing and dropped right back we should have been dictating after that first half. I don't know if it was mentality, fitness or tactical but it was very Everton and I could see it being 3-3 or 4-3 luckily we dug it out. We have to be better though for 90 mins especially on the ball and defensively.

Unfortunately when you defense is unreliable you can't play to hold on to any lead, even a two goal one. No way to do it but keep going and trying to score for 90 minutes. Our best defense is having teams afraid of us scoring up their end.

I’ll preface this like I do all of my comments: I’m new here and new to the game. However, Pickford inspires zero confidence with how he plays and controls the ball. Looks frantic at times. Clearly he couldn’t do anything about the second goal, but I think he just contributes to the overall uneasiness of the defense. Time to bring on Olsen

we ended up camped on our 6 yard box, because every time we passed forwards, we gave it straight away.

And we aren’t Chelsea.

True 532 looks the best bet with Coleman out mind get Holgate in there it suits Iwobi to be whipping in balls all day too.

The problem I have is with how we came out in the second half with the mentality that the game was over and we just sat back. This is where a leader on the pitch comes into play, someone to hand out bollockings, sadly we don't have any leaders.

That was so evident to me today no one taking charge on the pitch to get us up pressing higher

What we need is another forward option with pace. We have Richy and that's it and Gordon and Simms don't seem to be fancied. We need a forward option with pace in the window.
